I love the chips and dip here! So good, also good beer and location. There is a young crowd and and good music. Great view of downtown Columbus and GV is great!

The Best

Club 185 is the best when it comes to cheap food and drinks. When you go, you think you have walked into a high class club, but are quickly humbled by its simple interior and great service. I used to live within walking distance of the Club and went there at least once a week. All the drinks are great, martinis included. It is child friendly in there early hours, but get them out before 7 p.m. If your looking for great food, go for the bean dip at first. Then follow with any of there great sandwiches, the Daily D or the Meatloaf are great.

Great happy hour bar!

Great atmosphere, drinks, and friendly service! The dark wood combined with the modern decor adds to the atmosphere. Great mixed drinks and a wide selection of microbrews. I had lunch there a few times and I highly recommend the meatloaf sandwich. Overall a great bar!

Waitress Pushed Me Aside

I visit Columbus from Los Angeles and visited Club 185. Some frizzy-haired blond waitress just pushed me out of the way while I was standing at a table talking to a friend. If you guys are going to make it OK for your female help to barrel through the patrons, at least make sure they are hot. That is unacceptably rude.

try the Bean Dip

Great Bar. The name is Club 185 but please be advised that is not a "club." If you go there looking for a club you will be disapointed.

Visited a couple dozen times and on various days. One of my girlfriend and I's favorite place to grab a quick bite to eat and a coupe drinks. Busier in the winter then summer.

Great Lasagna special on sundays and two nathans hot dogs special on wednesdays.

Can't say I have ever had troubles with the service, unlike the below. Always friendly and quick.. Consistenly strong drinks.

Lazy floor bartenders...

Nice atmosphere, takes way too long to get a drink when you don't sit at the bar. The waitresses are ditzy and can't remember orders and when they mess up they act like it's your fault. There should be a hot body contest because they are hot, but they need to deliver drinks faster before i sober up.

Bad Service

Their bartenders are horrible. I've had to wait 20 minutes to get any attention from a bartender. It wasn't a busy night. I've went back a few times, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. They haven't gotten any better.

New to the neighborhood

I recently moved to columbus. Uprooting myself from my apartment in NYC that I habitated for 7 years. Looking for a new bar to call mine, I ran across the Club 185. I went to the 185 for the first time this past Tuesday. I couldn't have felt more comfortable. The bartender & server made me feel right at home. Amazing cheeseburger! Loved the fresh cut fries! Relaxing and layed back. Oh yeah, nice stiff drinks too.

A total waste.

That anyone could think that this bar has the best bartenders is unthinkable. Sure, they're cute. But they're also vapid and insubstantial. Oh, and they're horrible bartenders too. I shouldn't have to tell a bartender that a martini is made with gin or that there are bitters in a manhattan. My drink shouldn't be spilled all over while it's being served to me (unless it's exremely full). These bartenders just sat behind the bar giggling like 14 year-old girls and mixing creative and ghastly colored shots.

If you just want to drink to get plastered and then stare at some decent eye-candy, then this is your place. If you want to go to a bar that has a modicum of class (as Club 185 did when it was still a jazz bar) and a properly made cocktail -- go somewhere else. It's truly a shadow of what it once was. Given the kind of venue it's trying to be, I seriously suggest you check out: D*ck's Den (for music), The Monk, Old Bag of Nails in Worthington. You can do far better than this place.

• Pros: Nice Decor, you can still hear live music.
• Cons: Bartenders, management, custormers who thought that being pretty = good service.
