Very cool bar
by JimW84
I've been here early in the evening and late. Everything is different depending on the time, but one thing is consistent, they pad the tab! Be careful giving them your credit card too. Do not trust the help
- Pros: Fun gathering place - old style feel
- Cons: Scamming bartenders pad the tab
Great tavern - good food

Great pub, good lunch, great staff except for happy hour. Great pizza, so-so bbq. Good lunch specials
- Pros: Atmosphere
- Cons: Happy hour - long-time clique, rude barmaids
Great Atmosphere
by town123
On our first visit we were really impressed. Loved the small neighborhood bar atmosphere. Will definitely visit again when in the downtown area.
Bar tender was friendly and the service was quick. Great place for lunch.
- Pros: Great neighborhood bar
- Cons: None
A Classic Bar
by beerguy45
This is an old school bar. Stop in there more than once in a reasonable amount of time and they will remember you and make you feel like you've been there 1000's of times! It's not going to be the service of a TGIF or some corporate bar but it's personal service in a very chill atmosphere. If you're in a hurry it may not be the place to go. If you are looking to hang out, have a few drinks and some good food then this is the place! Almost forgot to mention that the drinks are cheaper than just about every other place in town!
- Pros: Cheap, cheap happy hour prices
- Cons: not a place to go if you're in a hurry at night
Great ambiance, location. Terrible, terrible service

How can you go wrong with great beers, chill atmosphere, and FREE pizza on Mondays? I know one way: order the food. The service is incredibly rude and slow, as if they don't even care to have the few customers they get. I once waited over an hour for a simple sandwich (no special sides requirements or anything else), and when I finally HAD to leave and cancel my order the blonde bartender snarled and rolled their eyes at me. Then on top of it, the she played that petty game of taking her sweet time in getting my friend her credit card back, despite the fact that the place was virtually empty. I've seen them do it to other people too. Another time when I was there, a guy had the nerve to ask if he could order food 45 minutes before closing and the bartender cut him off before he finished talking , snapping that the kitchen was closed. When the customer pointed out that the 'Kitchen Open' light was still on, the bartender wordlessly turned around, turned it off, and smirked, "kitchen's closed now." Go for the free food, the bars and the pool table but order from that menu at your own risk!
- Pros: FREE Pizza! Pool Tables! Old-School Atmosphere!
- Cons: Rudest staff in town, Dirty, Awful Food
Worst. Barbecue. Ever.

This is a great bar, and it's centrally located between downtown and German Village. They also have a ping-pong and pool table, and occasionally have a band. As a restaurant? Not so much. I went with three friends, and all of our meals were disappointing, one inedible. They pride themselves as a barbecue joint, but the sauce is gawd awful and every cut of meat was burnt to a crisp. We also had to hand in the order ourselves because there was no wait staff. I considered asking for my money back...
- Pros: Ambience, pool and ping-pong
- Cons: Food, expensive
An oasis in a sea of pick-up joints, this is just a good place to drink and hang out.

Vibe
The bar has a woody, been-there-a-while neighborhood feel. The room is long, with a stage up front and booths, chairs, and a couple of games in the back. If you'd rather be outside you can sit on the front patio and watch the craziness at Victory's across the street.
Nightlife
Bands play on the weekends, and the bar set-up allows the music fans to dance or holler up front, while others can hang in the back and talk. It gets busy, but the bartenders stay on top of things while being friendly and attentive.
I'll Have the Usual
This place attracts a lot of regulars during the week, but they're not clique-y. You're all pretty much there to escape the meat market scene and chat.
Food
The bar has a tavern menu of pizza, sandwiches and finger foods. The good news is that the kitchen stays open pretty late ("around 11") which is nice after an evening of carousing.
