For the first 20 min. at L'Antibes, I just wanted to leave. The atmosphere is horrible. you feel like you are literally in someone's bedroom. There is no ambiance, or refined atmosphere, it is litterally the size of a bedroom, and it is painted light purple. The food turned out to be excellent. So yes I would recommend it, but when spending that kind of money, you want to feel pampered and special. I did not feel that way in this small underdecorated restaurant.
Pros: wonderful authentic food
Cons: Terrible setting and room

We've eaten at French Laundry and Charlie Trotter's so I think we have some sense of perspective. For us L'Antibes is our favorite Columbus restaurant. We have taken friends and family over the years and have never heard anything but glowing praise. The pheasant and duck entrees are my favorites anywhere. The onion soup is incredible. The wine selection is good and very fairly priced. Overwhelmingly 5 stars!

So as a certified foodie and a longtime Cbus resident, I was looking for something extra special for my romantic birthday dinner at L'Antibes. I have to say, I have never actually been motivated enough to join this site and leave a review... although I LOVE looking at it for recommendations (and took the reviews for this restaurant to heart). For all of my expectations and excitement, I was quite disappointed. For the money they charge, the food was good but the menu was very limited and the service was Very poor- I had to catch the waiter twice to ask for a drink. I also tend to like places with a lot of character/ambiance and found this one sorely lacking- it has bare bones decorations and it quite small. The meal also took a really long time- over two hours and it wasnt good enough for that... I feel like this is harsh but I wanted to counter some of the rave reviews on here that made me want to spend my money there. For the money, go to Handke's instead.

A little pricey, but perfect for Valentine's day... if your woman does not love you after you have taken her there.... than I would advise to change your woman... because the food is perfect and extremely tasteful... the atmosphere... is extremely romantic and it is by far the best meal in my life. Most romantic restaurant and always tough to get a reservation on valentine's.
Pros: Perfect
Cons: None

From beginning to end this restaurant is far and beyond the best French restaurant that I have ever dined in all my many years. The sauce on the lobster was to die for and the sauce on the veal was to die for and the sauce on the duck was to die for. The place is decorated like an art gallery showcasing the owner's personal art collection which makes for a beautiful setting. White linens, flowers and candles make this a very romantic spot for a quiet evening when dinner is the main event. Service was impeccable and worth much more than the standard 20% for fine dining. Anyone who dines here and has a complaint must not understand the cuisine, etc., etc. I can't wait to go back next month.

the restaurant is poorly decorated and food in general was not good. my friend had the special onion soup - it had the consistency and taste of onion gravy. my duck was okay nothing wow considering the prices. would not recommend or go back.

Perfection! Every moment of this dining experience was pure perfection. The Scallops were divine, the veal was ethereal, the 5-onion soup balanced and complex the desserts not to be missed. The service was flawless and unobtrusive. The setting simple and quite, flowers, candles and soft music. Go with someone you love, or someone you want to love you!
Pros: food, service, quite

Out of all of the frech resturants in Columbus, this one is the best. The food is always great, the service is even better. The wine list offers good selections at all price ranges. This is a great place with a great location for other activities after dinner. After many trips to France, this is the closest you can come without a plane ticket.
Pros: Romantic, Chaning Menu
Cons: Parking

This restaurant just is not up to the par of Handke's or Refectory. The interior is small and drab, not at all romantic. Parking is a huge problem. Just a little over rated. The food was good, just not great.
Cons: Small, Noisy, Parking
