Find a Motel 6 - Much better than this Hyatt!. We stayed 6 days/5 nights for a conference. This hotel is NOT handicapped friendly, especially the public bathrooms. There were 4 of us registered to a room and it was equipped for only 2. Had to call to get more towels, glasses, coffee, coffee cups, etc. It took more than 2 hours and another call to finally get them. Maid service never picked up used water glasses and IF they gave us more, it was only 2. Did not replenish the coffee or cups. There's no microwave and no ventilation in the bathroom. They charge $10/day to use the internet and $23/day for parking. It was a long week for $150/day.

Not what I was expecting for what we paid. We stayed there this weekend we were expecting better service. So we get a great room then we run into some problems with the clealiness of the room and especially the beds. They weren't so clean and some other issues I rather not embaass them any more.

They compensated by changing us to another room, which felt soooo much more cleaner just by walking in, giving us fresh linens, and other things. I mean customer service was great depending on who you spoke with. Dry cleaning was slow we lost reservations because it didn't get there on time which was the 2nd time we lost reservations because of all the shuffling they had us doing. I was just dissapointed because we were expecting a relaxating weekend and it was only that for a few hours.

The breakfast in the restaurant on the 2nd floor was really good and the bed in the 2nd room they gave us was really comfy too, I just suggest they be more cleaner.

Comfy beds. We were there on our wedding night and everything was wonderful! The staff is very friendly and welcoming as well. The plush king-size bed is to die for, but the bathroom was teeny tiny. It's not very quiet since there are restaurants and bars in the hotel... more for fun, less for relaxation. Expect $100+ for a room as well.

Nice quiet place. LOVE the Citrus Lavender soap, which they also sell. The rooms are very modern and up to date. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. But you have to pay to park there. How rude! The elevators were slow as molassis and when we tried to take the steps we couldn't find any that had guest floor access below the 12th floor. UGH. Good thing there wasn't a fire! Double beds are small for two people.

Choose the other Capitol Hyatt in Columbus.... There were kids everywhere when we stayed at the Regency. We did not get the room type that we asked for the service was OK. They made us stay at the other Hyatt down the street which was absolutely beautiful for the first night of our stay. The other Hyatt (Capitol Square) the service was GREAT they made us feel at home.

You can't get any closer to the convention center at this business-friendly hotel.. The Hotel
The Hyatt Regency is conveniently located in downtown Columbus within the same building as the city's convention center. Without ever stepping outside, Hyatt guests can swim, work out, buy fine clothes, choose from a variety of dining establishments and use the enclosed walkway to attend business meetings in the 63,000-square-foot convention center. A few short blocks in either direction on High Street are the Short North Arts District and the Ohio Statehouse.

The Amenities
A major draw on the second floor is the 53-foot-long, cherry-and-black-granite "Big Bar" with sports on big-screen TVs and a glass wall overlooking the downtown skyline. For an extra fee per night, travelers get complimentary 800-number access and a USA Today delivered every morning.

Downtown Columbus Personified. Hyatt Regency is the perfect place to stay if you want to experience everything downtown Columbus has to offer (which isn't really much, but they are working on it). It is near the Short North, Nationwide Arena, the Brewery District, theatres, Barley's Brewpub and Columbus Brewing Company, etc. The convention center is nice and so are the rooms. My only real complaint is they charge over $20/day to park there because they know there are not really any other options nearby.
