One of the best tourist sites in state of Ohio!! If Triple A has not listed it in their guide book yet they should. I visited there last year on my birthday and it was indeed a sight to behold....11,000 gorgeous rose bushes staring you in the face. USA Today recommended as one of the 10 best rose parks in the world - not just the country. Heading To Rose Festival, Cincyrose

Pros: 2 Thumbs Up

Cons: None

Best natural beauty of all city parks and one of the largest rose gardens in the USA. I believe this park has the best July 4th music and fireworks festival (except "Red, White and Boom" on July 3rd). The paved path along Olentangy River is part of 20 mile Olentangy/Scioto River trail for biking, rollerblading, jogging and walking. There are dirt paths that shoot off the paved path. The most scenic area is a ravine adjacent to Rose Garden. There are 11 lighted and 3 non-lighted public tennis courts, baseball diamonds and soccer fields. There is a casting pond and Olentangy River for fishing and loads of shaded picnic areas and shelter houses. Don't miss Spring Rose Festival, July 4th festival and Fall Festivals (Art & Taste of Clintonville). The Park has a Library as well as separate indoor recreation centers for youths and adults.

Pros: BikeHike river ravine, Sunday Gazebo concert, Art & Rose festivals

Cons: Parking for festivals

The idea's simple, but seeing the roses at peak bloom time is still an amazing experience. No wonder the gazebo's a prime spot for June weddings.
