Galleries, events, screenings and exhibitions keep art lovers busy.. The Scene
Since opening in 1989, the Wexner Center has been a hub for groundbreaking artists and their work. Designed by New York architect Peter Eisenman and the late Richard Trott of Columbus, the building feels like a mishmash of angles and odd corners. It's that way for a reason: The grids are meant to emulate the streets of Columbus. Eisenman also designed the Columbus Convention Center.

The Collection
The exhibitions, film and video screenings and performing arts series are filled with modern masters as well as younger artists--what they all bear in common is a tendency to push the envelope in their respective mediums. Past exhibitions at the Wexner include the wild costume and set designs of Julie Taymor. Others have explored the relationship between art and technology and the work of self-taught artists.
