Best burrito I've ever had.
by rstall384 at Citysearch
I live in St Louis, Mo. I typically visit Ohio 2-3 times a year, and i am upset when i don't visit Labamba. Although I haven't been in a few years I can still taste the steak burrito. If you are near OSU campus you must stop bye. I promise you'll be happy you did. Enjoy!!
- Pros: UUUHHH great food + good atmosphere = good time
- Cons: the painting on the wall...if you are a fan of "that team up north".
Best fast food mexican period.

Although I'm not a huge fan of their steak(my favorite meat for mexican dishes) they have the best burritos in town. Try their burrito with avacado slices and their delicious hot sauce n you will be in heaven. Also, they have nachos which remain unrivaled in this huge city. Also, the food is realatively good for you since they use all fresh ingredient and don't fry anything(their tortilla chips are baked). I recommend the mini bean and avacado burrito w/ rice and jalepenos. It'll cost under $5.00 and is plenty for a normal appetite. Its also open late to accomadate.
Stumble towards this Campus joint for football-size burritos tossed late into the night.

The Scene
Walking into its bright, spacious interior, you wouldn't immediately know that La Bamba is part of a national chain. The clientele are made to feel like regulars, and the atmosphere is that of your average, congenial neighborhood taqueria. Although most are not native English speakers, the staff seems to be trained to decipher even the most slurred speech from bar-hopping undergrads.
The Food
Although they serve the standard range of Mexican fast food--tortas, tacos and quesadillas--the item du jour here is the burrito. La Bamba's slogan is "Burritos as big as your head!" and they deliver. The burritos come in three sizes--mini, regular and super--but we'd only recommend the super for people on a dare. Filled with steak, pork, chicken, or Mexican sausage, the result is a decent burrito that's not inordinately spicy or pricey.
THE BEST IN THE CITY!

The best burrito in the city, not skimping on taste, service, and especially not portions! Order a super burrito and you'll see what I mean!
