Going Underground
Used Kids sits below street level in the middle of campus. The small-scale room has stacks of CDs that stretch, almost literally, from the ceiling to the floor. Arranged by genre, browsing these shelves will likely yield some titles that you're looking for.
The Service
The staff is highly knowledgeable, which can be a positive and a negative factor in your shopping experience. On the upside, they can help you find that Richard Buckner CD in no time flat. But if you run into a guilty pleasure, like ABBA's greatest hits, and take it to the counter for purchase, you're unlikely to leave without some unwanted commentary.
History Lesson
Used Kids is a campus tradition. You'll find that many of alumni and current employees (and owners) of the store are in bands, running their own independent record labels or writing local music criticism.
Lots of used vinyl

After picking through little stacks of LPs at other record stores, I returned to the Ohio State University favorite. Used Kids has relocated to a second-floor location a few doors down and it is even better than the old store. They have thousands of used LPs and have them priced quite reasonably. A giant dollar section and many others for five dollars or less. I had to stop myself because I was finding more good records than a reasonable budget allows.
- Pros: selection, price
Best in Midwest

This is the best record store in Ohio. You almost always find the most obscure thing you thought to look for and alot else you hadn't.If this is the last record store you stop at in town, you'll regret the money you spent everywhere else. So come here first.
- Pros: Trade value, Selection new & used, Vinyl Heaven
