Very authentic and very good

by eliza4014 at Citysearch

I am a repeat customer and have never even been mildly disappointed in the food. It is tasty, priced well and the decor is bright and cheery. The waiters however (except for one), are not very friendly and not terribly accomodating. They are actually on the edge of rude.

  • Pros: good food, great decor, priced well
  • Cons: wait staff

Food not worth the horrible customer service

by parrothead051007 at Citysearch

This review is for Fiesta Mariachi which is where Hoggy's used to be. I used to be a repeat customer until my experience last Saturday night. I placed a 'to go' order - 3 chicken soft tacos, a side of rice and a side of beans. Not too difficult, right? Apparently it was for the airhead hostess. So I walk in, give her my name, and she says it'll be $8.85. I paid with my card as I didn't have any cash. I had to wait for my order. When it was finally ready, I checked it and they had given me hard tacos instead of soft. So I told her I had ordered soft tacos. The other girl searched for the ticket - as if she didn't believe me. Then the girl that took my order admitted that it was her fault and she had entered it in wrong. So I'm sitting there waiting for my food (again) when the girl who screwed up my order was like, 'I'll need your credit card again.' I'm like, 'Why?' She's like, 'The cost for the soft tacos is different so I'm going to need to charge it again.' I was like, 'Is it more or less?' The other girl said less. Then she was like, 'It'll be $10.45.' I'm like, okay (genius) that's more. I said, So, let me get this straight. You screwed up my order and I'm being inconvenienced and now you want to charge me more? She said 'Yes'. I said, 'It's less than $2, don't you think you should eat the charge considering I'm inconvenienced and now you want to inconvenience me further by charging my card twice?' So she went and got the manager who came out and said 'Even though we screwed up your order, we have to charge you the correct amount.' That was 2 days ago and here I am with 2 charges on my account and still waiting for the credit. Their food is not worth the horrible customer service. In addition, everytime I eat their food, my throat gets dry and I feel dehydrated. I'll never go back. I recommend Baja Sol by the Lennox. Their food tastes better, they have a salsa bar and good service!

Great Mexican and crappy customer service

by Suzzie526 at Citysearch

This was our first time visiting since they moved into the old Hoggy's building, and while the food was wonderful, the service left us soured.

Firstly, the place is always extremely busy, regardless of the day or time, and the teeny parking lot makes you park quite a distance away.

We put our name down for a party of four, and then watched in amazement as groups that had arrived after us and were the same size or slightly larger were seated ahead of us. When we asked the hostess why we were being skipped she gave us a nonsensical answer about the waiters and their sections.

By the time we finally got to eat (we were the only people left waiting by the time she finally seated us.. a good 30 minute wait on a wednesday evening) we were ravenous and did enjoy the food (although crunchy tacos are not authentic Mexican food!).

We'll probably eat there again to see if they've instructed their employees in the basics of customer service.

  • Pros: Excellent food at a very inexpensive price
  • Cons: Hostesses need to be retrained

Mexillent food!

by CEV55 at Citysearch

Casa Fiesta has really great fajitas and top notch margaritas. The last time I went I tried their fried cheesecake and it might be the best dessert I have ever had.

Dishonest Management - Good Food

by Eattae at Citysearch

My wife and I choose to get some food there, but she did not feel up to leaving the motel room. This restaurant had signed a contract for a buy 1 get 1 free meal that was good at ALL times and did NOT exclude carry out. Management refused to honor the promotion and made at least two different mistatement of facts over a period of a few days. The contract details were confirmed with the originator of the promotion.

It is my understanding that at the time, the owner used hired management to run this location.

I have no knowledge as to whether current management is the same as the one who intentiionally made mistatements of fact as to the promotion involved.

Traditional Mexican cuisine, authentic music and colorful walls transport guests south of the border at the eatery.

The Best Mexican in Columbus

by coop0129 at Citysearch

It is now called Fiesta Mariachi. This is the best mexican food you can get in Columbus. Very authentic and the staff is wonderful. Try to cheese dip with your tortilla chips as a starter. Everything on the menu is great. I would highly recommend this restaraunt!

  • Pros: Everything.
  • Cons: NONE
