Thoroughly unejoyable
by ThreePoint
I had stopped here over two years ago, and had a couple appetizers and glasses of wine at the bar. It was great.
Dinner last night was the biggest disappointment I've had in Columbus.
The calamari was a bit chewy and the sauce tasted like a jar of orange marmalade. The lobster tail was OK, but the lobster ravioli was horrible. The texture was poor and the tase was bland. The trout was acceptable, but nothing special. The wine and the wine list was very good.
When I dine out and spend over $100 for a meal, I expect something far better than what I could cook at home. We may have chosen the worst three items on the menu, but these things shouldn't be on the menu if they are not special.
The service was very good and everyone was helpful. The atmosphere was nice, but a bit noisy - seemed more like a corner bar than a fine restaurant.
- Pros: Nice atmosphere and very nice wine list
- Cons: The food
Nice, but nothing special

We found the overall experience very lacking. While the food tasted good and made extremely attractive plates, the service was very slow and unspectacular, despite the restaurant being deserted on the Monday night we visited for our anniversary. I was also somewhat confused that the decor was very country casual, while the menu and prices seemed to be going for something much more upscale. I would definitely recommend someplace else for your special occasion or even on a non-special occasion.
Costly but effective

The waitress was very professional and food was served quickly. I had the duck and it was delicious! The restuarant has a wonderful ambiance and it is quite. You should venture to Worthington to visit this restuarant. We ended up spending 200 dollars for 3 people-not my usual budget.
- Pros: Excellent Food, Good Service
- Cons: Costly
A beautiful restaurant and reception site tucked into Worthington's historic bed and breakfast.

The Scene
Nestled in the Worthington Inn, Seven Stars' classic hotel ambiance is created with upholstered furniture, crystal chandeliers, a wood and stained-glass bar, flowery carpet and marble tables. Special events are welcome; the ballroom can accommodate up to 150 people. Seven Stars also has live entertainment on most nights, typically featuring a vocalist or jazz group.
The Food
Seven Stars is open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast includes cinnamon crepes and three kinds of eggs Benedict. All of the baking is done on site. Lunch has all the basics, as well as some fancy entrees, like grilled salmon with black Beluga lentil ragout; dinner centers around steak, seafood, and even venison. The wine list is extensive, and the prices are more reasonable that you'd expect from such a jewel.

The Scene
Built in 1831, the Worthington Inn is considered one of central Ohio's landmarks, known mostly for the four-star restaurant it houses, along with 26 guest rooms. An on-site bakery and choice of several distinctly decorated dining rooms give visitors lots of choices of great food and atmosphere. The brick-paved courtyard with a pub offers live music on some evenings. The inn is along the stretch of High Street known as Old Worthington, so it's easy to walk to other historic sites, shops and restaurants.
The Details
No two guest rooms are alike in the restored mansion, and for those ready to splurge, the Grand Suite in the main building is the most elaborate and expansive. The hotel service is also renowned for being unobtrusive and extraordinary--treating customers as if they were visiting dignitaries. All rooms include an American breakfast and twice-daily housekeeping.
It should be Ten Stars!!!

I went there for my friend's birthday. I wanted to make her feel special. After the dinner, she told me that she felt very special.
The best waitress I have ever had. The food is not that bad for the price. It gives a good privacy as well.
- Pros: Good Parking, Good Waitress, Romantic
Perfect

My wife and I went here for her birthday and had a great meal. Service was fantastic (ask for Raj or Ravi). Had a wonderful steak and wine and a great dessert. We arrived at 6:00 and we were the only people in our dining room. As others arrived they were taken into a separate room as well so that everyone had their privacy until it was impossible to keep doing that. It was a beautiful touch that really made a difference. Still a good idea to have reservations, just in case. Great meal, great service.
- Pros: food, service, privacy
