Went in for luch last weekend, and ordered the Firecrackers appetizer. These are thin spicy chicken rolls, with some zesty chipotle sauce...quite good, but the goodness stops there. I ordered the prime rib sandwich, and the wife got the salmon and salad. The restaurant was very light (another indication of decay), but our wait was rather long. When he did show up with our food, he simply said what they were, slide each plate in front of us, said "Enjoy", and quickly speed off. He didnt look at my drink, which only had about an inch of tea left in it. I also noticed he forgot my Au Jus sauce, which I found would be necessary after the first dry bite. When he came around again, I had to ask for my refill, and sauce, to which he replied, "Oh, you want some sauce with that...I can get that for you." as if he was doing me a favor...he obviously didnt know the menu indicated it was served with it. When he brought it out, he set down our drinks, then sat this little black cup of the sauce, and said "There you go.", and wandered off. As soon as he left, my wife said "Are you kidding me?" I mean, this cup held like 2 onces...its mouth was about 1.5 inches across...you would be lucky to dip a hot dog in it, let alone a hogie sandwich! The sandwich itself was dry, and the portion was small. After the sauce was gone (first 3 bites) I had to slather ketchup on it to eat the rest...which was only a little more than half, thats how bad it was. The fries were greasy and limp, again, lots of ketchup to eat what I could. My wifes small portion of salmon was very over cooked. It was tough and dry, and her salad looked a little wilted and mixed...like it was made up a head of time. The server was also surprised when I declined a box for our leftovers,I think he knew we werent happy then, even though we didnt say anything. To add insult, the bill was over $40 w/tip. This once staple chain has obviously seen its day. After being my friend for over 30 years, its now time to say goodbye.
Pros: Big TVs for sports, trivia game.
Cons: bad food, weak service, over priced
