So-so food, lukeworm service, don't waste your time and $$. We have visited Due Amici several times and every time at the end we swear that this was the last time - NEVER AGAIN! Waiters are constantly forgetting to bring bread with oil from start, forget to change the silverware between the dishes; glass with wine has a floating piece of cork (we asked to bring a new glass, so when the new glass arrived it has still pieces of cork, smaller though. Use your imagination - somebody fished out a larger piece from the same glass and left the small pieces of cork)

Food: always mixed impression - some items are fine but other dishes are prepared badly. The Souse for my Portobello ravioli was watery, thin, and tasteless.

So, don't waste your time.

Better restaurants in Columbus:

Lindey's for any food, Marcella's for pizza, Hyde Park for almost all food, M - to impress the guest, HAIKU - for shrimp tempura and sashimi, Whole Foods - the best scallops if ambience is not in question... Sadly, there are not too many good restaurants in Columbus, so choose one and stay with it.

French restaurants are also pretty poor here - Refectory was a total disappointment!

Wonderful Experience, Great Food, Great Service. After reading several reviews online I was hesitant to go but decided it was in my best interest to go and make my own conclusion. Boy am I glad I did! We sat at the bar to enjoy some wine before dinner and the bartender was wonderful and offered some suggestions. A perfect pinot grigio was served!

We were seated at our table. Very comfortable, soft leather seating! The antipasta for two is a MUST! We were told that the mozzarella is made right on the premises! The prosciutto was a great quality meat, the mushrooms perfectly marinated and the tomatoes vine ripe! Delizioso! This dish actually beats out Barcelona's antipasta appetizer plate.

While the antipasta was enough to fill 2, we had to try something else. We shared the gnocchi bolognese. I was skeptical but was wowed in the end. The sauce was good and the gnocchi perfetto!

I highly recommend Due Amici! We'll be back!

Good Place, Doesn't Try too Hard. It's refreshing to find a place like this in Columbus where the menu isn't trying too hard to be what it isn't and where the prices aren't doing the same as well. Good, creative food. They could take little bit more of a loss on the beverage cost, but good nonetheless.

Great atmosphere, but definitely not romantic - too happening.

Don't waste your time or money. The service we received was poor from the beginning. We had to ask for the wine menu and the first bottle we ordered we were told the restaurant was out. We waited several minutes to place our order and I felt we had to wait far too long for bread to be brought to our table. Not once were we asked by our server of we would like more (cost cutting tactic?). Our meals were delivered by another Due Amici employee who made it very clear that she was not our server. We ordered 2 side salads which were not delivered and we were in need of a second bottle of wine. When our server did come back, he said that he would bring the salads out, but because we had already received our meals, the salads were no longer wanted. He said that he could have them boxed up, which seemed inappropriate as the greens would have wilted by the time they made it home. He then said he would have them removed from our bill. We also wanted to try a different bottle of wine and were not given the opportunity to do so. It was assumed that we wanted the same bottle as the first. When pouring the wine, he spilled some onto the table and I had some splashed onto my plate of pasta. He did not even acknowledge it or apologize for it. Not once did he visit our table after we began the meal. I would have liked to have had some fresh parmesan for my pasta (another Due Amici cost-cutting practice). After the meal, we ordered a dessert tray, coffees and a couple of espressos. We were then informed that the espresso machine was out of order. We were not offered and had to ask for refills on our coffee. We waited much too long for our bill and when we did get it, the salads were still on the tab. Throughout the entire meal, we got the impression from our server that we were unimportant and did not deserve better service. The poor service overshadowed the food. I expected a much higher level of service from Due Amici, and I was quite disappointed. Wrote to mgr and got no response whatsoever

User review by leahsmom. Italian with your own flair. Choose the pasta you like with a variety of sauce. Top your salad or pizza. Portions on the smaller size that are perfect for lunch.
