What a great studio. It's been years since I've painted pottery, and now because of Marcy's Clayground I look forward to going back whenever I have time to spare. As a novice, the staff was extremely helpful with tips and suggestions. The atmosphere is very relaxing and because you are charged a studio fee that is only a percentage of the item you want to work on (and not by time) there is no sense of urgency to finish up and turn in a piece that isn't exactly what you had in mind. They will even keep your piece for you in case you want to come back and work on it some more. For busy parents, they have take-home kits so you can paint at home and bring back to have them fired. I can't say enough good things about Marcy's Clayground. It's my favorite recreation spot in town!

I think that Marcy's Clayground is a great value for the money, and I love that she has a range of interesting and functional products (Christmas ornaments, teapots, picture frames, doorknobs, switchplates). Great for kids, and great for adults! I love the atmosphere of the store, too... on the funky side (brightly painted walls and a mosaic fireplace!), with a clean minimalism edge (simple, unstained tables and chairs).Visiting Marcy's Clayground is a great way to spend an afternoon or an evening!

This is simply the finest paint-your-own pottery studio in greater Columbus. I have been many times and have found it well worth the drive up north to Powell, even though other chain studios are closer to home. It is a charming, cozy environment complete with a gorgeous mosaic fireplace to work by. The atmosphere really encourages creativity. The studio is a great place to meet my girlfriends and take my young daughter. Plus, their studio time pricing is VERY fair compared to all other local pottery joints. Check it out! See you there!
