Unique and memorable
by Captain Cook at Citysearch
Thai Chili, Honey Pistachio, Cherry Lambec...pick any flavor you haven't imagined, put it in a homemade cone or make a ridiculously decadent sundae out of it, and fly to Valhalla. My personal favorite is the Black and Tan, but I've tried and liked everything from the salty caramel, to Sweetcorn Raspberry and been delighted. I attend the parlor on Grandview Avenue, and enjoy outstanding service, suggestions, and desserts every time.
- Pros: Natural, delicious, creative flavors to tantalize you.
- Cons: Limited seating, but when you're this good people wait.
The most amazing ice cream in town, period.

If you love ice cream, forget everyone but Jeni's. I've been going to Jeni's since it was a small shop in the North Market, and their product is consistently amazing. I've only had one flavor I wasn't a fan of (Salty Caramel--seemed a little too salty and not caramelly enough) in the years I have been a patron of Jeni's. My favorite? A trio with black coffee, mango sorbet, and Thai chili.
- Pros: Fabulous ice cream, great flavor variety, sustainably made
- Cons: That I can't eat Jeni's for every meal.
AMAZING Ice Cream and Sorbet
by trigonomic at Citysearch
Good lord, this stuff is good. I just went there for the first time at the North Market on Friday and had to back again on today. I tried the Cherry Lambic and Berries & Burgundy sorbets, and the Black Coffee and Wildberry Lavender ice creams. Also had samples of Sweet Corn & Black Raspberry and Maker's Mark ice creams. I loved them all, but the Cherry Lambic was the best. Tart and fruity, and not too sweet. I wanted to stay in Columbus for another week just so I could try all the rest of the flavors.
The staff was really friendly about letting us try samples, and the price is fine, considering the ingredients that go in it. This isn't ice cream that you shovel down by the pint; you'll want to eat it slowly so you can savor it as long as possible. The flavor combinations are completely unexpected, but surprisingly, they work. Can't wait to make it back down to Columbus and go back!
- Pros: Uniqueness & Variety
- Cons: Long lines
best in town. possibly best in usa

I've been getting Jeni's since she first started at the North Market. She comes up with some of the craziest flavors, and nails them every time. From the standard Salty Caramel to the powerful Cognac, I like every flavor I've ever tried.
Keep opening up shops Jeni, we'll keep buying. It's time to go nationwide!
- Pros: great flavors
- Cons: bit pricey
Best ice cream in town - Hands down!

I was introduced to Jeni's at the North Market some time ago. Everyone was raving about the Salty Caramel ice cream. At that time, I wasn't very adventurous and passed many of the other flavors off as being "weird".
I don't really eat ice cream very often, but when I do...It has to be Jeni's! Don't look for your typical vanilla/chocolate ice creams here, or your traditional sundaes. This is decadent stuff, guys. While costing a bit more than your Baskin-Robbins, it's worth every last penny. The Grandview location is in a great spot for people watching and strolling along as you eat your ice cream. It's kind of cute and romantic, in an odd way.
My personal favorites are the Bourbon Buttered Pecan (not your Grandma's butter pecan!) and the Lime Cardamom Sorbet. If you've been, go again (support local businesses!) and if you haven't, then you simply must.
- Pros: Unique flavors, free tastes!
Best Ice Cream... PERIOD!

Best Ice Cream in Columbus

Pear Riesling, Cayenne Chocolate, Thai Chili, Pistacio, Mango Lassi, any of the sorbets....just good ice cream if you care about taste and quality. The waiting line is never a poblem because you need the time to figure out what you're going to have. Plus you can sample any of the flavors before committing. This is a great place to go after a bike ride. My only complaint is that Jeni hasn't opened up a German Village location yet! OMG, I almost forgot--the GARLIC ICE CREAM at the Garlic Festival 2006 was just amazing and lick-smacking!!!!
- Pros: so many interesting flavors to choose from!
- Cons: my stomach can only hold 2 scoops at a time
Amazingly creative flavors that work!

I admit that I've given up wasting my money on any other type of ice cream b/c Jeni's is that good!
- Pros: Awesome flavors, Patient & fun staff,
- Cons: Parking at the Grandview location, Busy - but line moves quickly

Best hand-crafted artisinal ice creams
by ronpiz at Citysearch
ice cream grows up as a work of art - if you are not adventurous - stick to vanilla and go buy store bought - these treats are nirvana, and nirvana ain't cheap! Jeni has run distance to come up with imaginative flavors - you can test before you buy - some if something is "overwhelming" guess what - try something else. Best flavors I enjoy are the "hot" chocolate and lavender.
- Pros: variety, setting, taste
- Cons: little pricey
