first, the bartender was a total d*ck. he greeted me with "whaddya want?". he screwed up my drink (there's no orange juice in a cosmo), and then refused to make me a new one. then he gave me the wrong bill (i had one drink and there were three on my check), and actually argued with me about how many drinks i had. after the terrible drink he made, i wasn't about to get a second, let alone a third. after ten minutes of arguing and testamonials from my two friends, he took the two additional drinks off my bill. i asked for a manager, and he said he was the manager. i was horrified! avoid this place at all costs!
Cons: everything

I was so angry during my visit to Fitzgerald's, I needed a real drink, which I couldn't get. I watched the bartender pour a two count (mixed drinks are a four count) gin & tonic, for $5.50. The server had a terrible attitude, and was slower than a snail. She actually rolled her eyes when my boyfriend asked for more napkins. The food was cold and greasy, and delivered with an attitude. When I asked for a manager, the server said, "yeah, okay", and we never saw one. All night-never saw one. Absolutely horrific experience! I'm telling everyone so nobody else has the same awful night that we did!
Pros: none!
Cons: worst service, awful food, overpriced drinks

If you didn't like the old manager (as mentioned below), try going now (especially on the weekend). The new manager, Matt Sparks, has revamped Fitzgerald's and is making it the place to be. There's nothing but good things to say about it now. Out with the old, in with the new. Grand reopening is set for May 10, 2008.

food is pretty good, esp the pizza. owner ("herb") is sooo rude though so don't run into him. some of the staff is nice, others not so much
Pros: good food, drink prices
Cons: owner's presence

The food is decent but nothing over the top. Pretty average for a sports bar. Tons of tvs of course.

Under new ownership since 2006, they have 2 outdoor decks, pool tables, darts, karaoke night, bike night, ladies night, happy hour and daily specials until 9pm, a dance floor, a DJ, a host of bands play there on the weekends and yes, they even have wi-fi (wireless internet access), and coming soon they'll be hosting, NTN triva. Their extensive food menu has more to choose from than an average bar. I personally like the quesadilla's (5 different kinds to choose from) and the pizza, but all of the food is quite good. On any given day you'll find, a well rounded mix of local people, sports enthusiasts, business people, bikers, and even families. Overall, it's a great place that's well suited for anyone looking for a good time, in a great atmosphere. To get to the website, go to yahoo and enter, fitzgerald's sports tavern as the search, the first listing will be their website, which showcases pictures of prior events, and details upcoming events.
Pros: good value for the $$$, indoor/outdoor seating, good food
Cons: None

Everything you'd expect from a sports bar and nothing more. We thought the food was ok, but nothing to go crazy about. Would go back for drinks if we were in the area but would eat elsewhere.
Pros: Typical sports bar
Cons: Typical sports bar

Wellif you are looking for an actual pub go to Ireland. I love this place the staff is curtious and friendly. THe drink prices are about average. The food is NOT by any means average pub grub...it may go by the same name but the food is by far above average with addtional options like K-bobs, Philly Steak, Chicken Philly are. This is not your average 21 one goin on 12, lets see how many shots we can do in an hour bar. Its a friendly community pub with 6 big screens, 15 TVs around and behind the bar and wether you are a guy or a gal you can find what you are looking for here...and its a great time. A great alternative to heading downtown.
Pros: Guiness & Bass on Tap, inexpensive good food, good looking crowd
Cons: not enough events, no lady's night

Fitzgerald's is your typical hybrid Irish/sports bar. The building that houses Fitzgerald's has seen many bars come and go over the years. I have heard that it is used as a test market location. The atmosphere offers nothing really original. Apparently you can paint any place green and put a shamrock on the logo to make it Irish, and that is pretty much all they do here. There are a lot of TVs, pool tables, a jukebox and some large photographs of old sporting events. They also have a patio for the warmer months. The beer selection is pretty average. They have around 10 draughts, mostly macros but Guinness, Bass and Gordon Bierch as well. The service is fair, but don't expect a lot of knowledge about the beers they serve. The food is standard pub grub - sandwiches, pizza, wings etc. Not too bad and fairly priced.
Pros: Decent location
