Mediocre Greek food with an abyssmal attitude‎.
I ordered from this place several times without incident -- I did find their non-gyro items to be a tad overpriced, and the gyros themselves, although cheap, are rather small. After avoiding them for
a bit, I ordered from Apollo's again because they were the only ones delivering at the time. Let me tell you why today is the last time I will be patronizing this restaurant:
I submitted my order online via thesaver dot com. When selecting my gyro, I had a mandatory choice between "combo / No Thank You" I chose No Thank You. On my receipt, this is what was listed: "Gyro - Options: Make it a combo: No Thank You." Admittedly, I could see how someone could screw up and try to make this a combo. Which they did. They charged me $2.50 for some really sick looking fries and a can of coke. After my friend and I ate, we were planning on going out, but I decided to call the restaurant for what I thought would be a simple matter of getting the $2.50 taken off of my bill.
No. First, I had to explain to a very rude woman named Ellen how I did not, indeed, order this combo. After I finally got her to LOOK at what was written and read it back to me, she understood, and went off on a rant about how thesaver dot com does its business. I then politely asked her to please take the charge off my bill, since it was obvious that I did not want the combo. She retorted (with an attitude) that I would have to bring the fries and coke back in myself in order to take it off the bill.
WHAT THE @#$I IS WRONG with this place? How could a restaurant treat any customer like this, especially when the mistake was on their side? When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told that he would call me back when he "came in" and she hung up on me in mid sentence. Needless to say, this manager never called me.
