i took my apply to the laptop guy thinking it would be convenient because I am so close to their location. what a huge mistake. they charged me to replace a part (apple wireless card and antenna) that i found out later wasn't replaced just hastily patched up. it took 3 weeks to get my computer back and everytime i was contacted to give an update on my computer the person was difficult to understand and unprofessional. after they "fixed" the problem i never got more than 2 bars of signal and i practically had to sit next to my wireless router. now i'm having the problem looked at by "all computers fixed" i used them in the past and they were cheap and awesome (basically able to replace my busted apple hard drive and recover all of my data for less than $300 and the guy came to me) don't ask me why i didn't just use them before.

Pros: Convenient location

Cons: Overpriced,

After taking my laptop to a local shop and paying over for a "diagnostic fee" only to be told I should just buy a new laptop, it was great to hear that my computer could be fixed! I wanted my files! Now it works perfectly. Funny that I was told that this same laptop was "totally gone" and "the screen definitely is blown."Â I sent two laptops in and both of them are now working perfectly. I even got a discount for sending in two machines. I think the Laptop Guy rocks. This was a great experience.

So I took my laptop into the Laptop Guy after it took a minor bump and a small, fairly cheap and easily replaceable part was damaged. A MONTH later, I received it back. EVERY possible step, from getting to diagnostics up to the repair, took longer than the estimated timeframe. It was absolutely unreal. I'm a student and I pretty much need my laptop to survive, and missing it for almost half a quarter is inexcusable.

Pros: Not too much, at least the laptop worked alright in the end.

Cons: Fairly pricey, a turtle could repair it faster.

My Laptop Guy experience was very satisfactory to me. I have had a lot of bad experiences with computer techs lately so I was very wary of getting serviced. The Laptop Guy techs were friendly and informative every step of the way. Total repair time was less than 1 week. Laptop works great now.

Pros: Good service, efficient, informative and friendly.

Cons: Lost crucial application settings but knew that was possible. Zoe sheds a little.

Sorry, I don't buy it. Does anyone else think that it's fishy to have 10 five star reviews (ONE OF WHICH IS FROM THE OWNER!) and 2 four star reviews withing the course four days? Especially when there are only a total of 14 reivews in all? I'm not a recent customer, I admit, but I did use The Laptop Guy a few years ago. It took two weeks longer than I was promised to get my system back. I was hoping they'd have better reviews, since I need my macbook fixed. I guess I'll keep looking since these reviews seem VERY fishy to me.

Pros: They work on all brands, even my mac!

Cons: When I last used their service, it took way too long to get my system back. VERY fishy reviews.

I found the LaptopGuy to be very slow as well as non professional when I had my notebook looked at, the intermitant problem still exists in my computer and they have pretty much just charged me and washed their hands of the whole thing which leaves me in the same boat as when I first visited them.

Pros: none I've noticed.

Cons: take a long time for repair.

I have used The Laptop Guy for the past several years for laptop repair services. I have found their staff to be not only very helpful, but very knowledgeable about what my issues were. They have repaired several brands of laptop computers for me. Repairs are done in a timely manner with very good follow through. I would recommend their service highly.

Pros: Knowlegeable and quality service.

Cons: None that I have experienced.

I have used The Laptop Guy several times in the past. Each time their technician lays out the options I have to fix my machine, and allows me to make the decision that is best for me. I have been pleased each time with the promptness of service, and keeping me informed with what is going on (the first repair they made needed a part from the computer company - which took a couple weeks, but it took longer than that when I tried to fix it on my own and was unsuccessful). All of the representatives I have interacted with at The Laptop Guy have been professional and courteous. I will continue to recommend The Laptop Guy to my friends.

Pros: Knowledgable, honest, friendly, prompt, relaiable... shall I go on?

Cons: limited store hours, but it's not a problem if you plan ahead

I read about The Laptop Guy in the Business First (Columbus Edition) Entrepreneur section and needed some data recovered on one of my laptops. The service was beyond my expectations! They recovered files from my hard drive that previously crashed in half an hour, plus gave me tons of useful info about how to prolong the life of a laptop. He was knowledgeable, experienced and extremely friendly. He understood how frustrating it is when your computer breaks down. The prices were cheaper than I expected as well. I'd definitely call The Laptop Guy again if I have problems with my laptops in the future!

Pros: Fast, Affordable, and Effiecent
