Dry, old and cold wings

by MKL1980 at Citysearch

The last 2 times I placed a carry out order, I arrived home within 10 minutes and discovered the bucket of wings we had ordered were clearly held WELL past their expiration. They were dry, cold, and tough to the point they had the consistency of beef jerky. I experienced the same thing on a recent dine in visit, and had to flag down a manager in order to get fresh food. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

WORST WINGS I'VE EVER HAD!!

by kellysdaddy at Citysearch

I was in the mood for some HOT wings, so I ordered the Buckeye BBQ flavor, which was the third hottest flavor on the menu. The wings were nowhere NEAR hot. In fact, the Open Pit BBQ sauce that we have in the 'fridge is WAY hotter than these things. The flavor of these wings were AWFUL!!! I know we won't be back. I should have went to Frickers for some REAL hot wings.

  • Pros: Service was OK.
  • Cons: Wings were AWFUL!!

If you like grease--both axle and cooking--this is the place.

The Scene
The decor consists largely of cars, motorcycles, and automobile racing paraphernalia. The original Quaker Steak and Lube in Sharon, PA is a small cinder block building but this location is roomy with a high ceiling for mounting cars and auto parts. It is not unusual to see a line of motorcycles or hot rods parked out front.

The Food
The turbocharged theme is reflected in the menu with items named the Caesar Camaro, Harley Jalapenos, and Chicken Fenders. The famous chicken wings are served by weight not number. The Atomic wings require that a waiver be signed before consumption. Other good sauces are Suicide, Louisiana Lickers and Golden Garlic. The Magna Fries coated with melted cheddar-jack cheese and bacon with ranch dipping sauce are a favorite. Munch Bucket of Bolts is a fried food lovers dream including onion rings, cheese sticks, breaded ravioli, fries, zucchini and cheesy cauliflower.

Fun for a change.

by brit1 at Citysearch

Definitely unique, fun decor, with lots to look at. Plenty of parking and seating. Food was a little pricier than most other places, but not too bad. My burger was ok but nothing outstanding. Chips and fries were tasty. Husband enjoyed his wings, though he was disappointed that the Cajun sauce wasn't spicier. Soda not bad @ $1.74 a glass. Service was good, with tables cleared quickly. It was nice for a change, but I wouldn't care if I never went again.

  • Pros: Fun for kids, Choice of wing sauces, Parking
  • Cons: Nightmarish location, A little pricey, Awful rock music!!

Great place

by rotsac1 at Citysearch

We were going to the original location in Sharon PA for a few years, and were delighted to find out QS&L was locating in Columbus. We now frequent it quite often. Everything is always excellent. The last time we were there, late on a Tueday nite, some drunk guy fell against our table in the bar area, and proceeded to make his way to the door unattended. We wondered why management would let him leave in such a disoriented state. We were hoping he didn't drive home. Other than that, we have always had a wonderful time there, and would recommend it highly. Wings and rings are always a must.

  • Pros: Wing Flavors, Atmosphere, Vehicles
  • Cons: For best results, avoid peak hours, if possible

Great place!

by chris1961 at Citysearch

Best variety of wings around. Many flavors and sauces. Wings are huge too. Something for everybody. Burger are great too...cooked to your order (something hard to find today). service is first rate too. Televisions everywhere, and even video games to keep the kids entertained. Tons of wall memorbilia, that is fun to read. My only negitive comments would be its a little noisey, and the wings are a little pricey, but I only mention this lightly.

  • Pros: big wings, variety, good service
  • Cons: only 1 location, a little noisey

Very good

by ericmassie at Citysearch

We have been to several of the wing places in town and so far this one is the best. That is not meant to be a negative comment. The wings are great and the variety of sauces enables you to try something new each time you go.

  • Pros: Inexpensive, Food Quality

Better than average...

by silver_wolfhawk at Citysearch

Went here before a show at Polaris w/ my fiance. Given how full the parking lot was, I was surprised how quickly we were seated. The food is good, NICE sized portions. The onion rings aren't all they're cracked up to be. All in all - a nice place to be!

  • Pros: quick seating
  • Cons: parking fills fast
