Great value and great food!

I didn't expect to like this as much as I do, in fact, we seem to eat here at least two to three times a month! The food is very good, and there is a lot of it, so make sure you're hungry! The wine list is excellent, several great choices in the moderate range! I adore the Chicken Parisianne, but most dishes we've had have been equally good!!
- Pros: Reasonably priced, Huge portions, Great selections
- Cons: , There is often a wait, Boring dessert menu
Don't miss this place!

My husband and I found this place by chance, and we are SO glad we did. After moving to Columbus, we searched for a good Italian restaurant, and found only average Italian fare. Then we found Moretti's of Upper Arlington. It is hands down the best Italian meal we've had here. (On par with restaurants in little Italy in NYC and San Fransisco.) This is now the place we take out-of-town guests to.
Every dish we have tried has been fantastic. Their wedding soup is incredibly flavorful. (This is an option instead of salad with the regular dishes.) Their portions are incredibly generous, but they also offer "small plates" for those with smaller appetites. (The small plate is usually stil two meals' worth for me.) The pasta is made in-house daily, and you can taste the fresh ingredients! I recommend going early, as they do occasionally run out of dishes. Every special we've tried has been fantastic. Also, if they have it (and you still have room!), order the Italian Sweet Milk cake for dessert. You will not be disappointed.
This is a small restaurant with a local/family feel, tucked into a shopping plaza. It's easy to miss, but often busy. You can call ahead for reservations - highly recommended on a Friday or Saturday night. Service can be inconsistent, but even when it's off, it's just average, not bad.
P.S. Since we love this Moretti's so much, we tried the one on Sawmill Rd. This has a different menu and different feel. Although the food was still good, I would highly recommend the Upper Arlington restaurant over the one on Sawmill.
- Pros: Incredible food, very reasonable prices, generous portions, personal atmosphere
- Cons: Can run out of some dishes
