Robert Has To Rolling Over In His Grave. It continues to go to he double hockey sticks. Tammy has to be the worse bartender in Columbus. Then The manager and his wife. Owners need to take a good look and can half the folks. Starting with management.
gross. Scary gross with a scary gross manager. Poor service and intimidating crowd. Wont be going back. So much for its reputation as a landmark. Its just old. The outdoor smiking area is nice
I bartended there and they don't call it the Ruckmoor Pour for nothing. You get your moneys worth..
What more can I say....theres no cover charge, its always Ladies Night (guys buying girls drinks)...where else can you play pool for a buck....Get a draft beer for a buck and a quarter....watch cable for free and wear your dock martin sandles...
It opens at 5:30am, so if you get too drunk you can sleep in your car out in the parking lot and we'll wake you up the next day in time to get to the office.
Hole in the wall. If you like to be anonymous, then this would be your place. It's a hole in the wall (literally), and it's dirty, but cheap.
Ring Game.
The Ruckmoor rocks!! A lot of townies, cozy setting by the fireplace and PBR in a can!! What more could you ask for?
Don't forget to play the ring game; it's extremely addictive.
A trustworthy outpost in a cradle of sprawl..
The Scene
Established in 1958, the Ruckmoor seems to have been around as the pontifical college across the street. Now surrounded by midline hotels and chain restaurants, the Ruckmoor recalls a time when anything outside of I-270 really was the country. The Robin Hood (or is it Knights of the Round Table?) motif is both comfortable and kitschy. A friendly spot to shoot pool or the breeze.
Defining Moment
In 1980, the Sharon Township Fire Department burned down the adjoining motor lodge as an exercise--and Columbus became a city, not a town.
The Crowd
Longtime northsiders, service workers and second and third-shifters who like their beer cold and their Hank Jr. kickin'.
