My favorite place to eat – I love Bravo (Hayden Road)...the service, the food, the atmosphere. We go for every special occasion and always take out-of-town guests here too. I am surprized at the negative comments; we have been going for more than 7 years and have never been disappointed.
Good Food. Service..eeeh! – I enjoyed my first visit here. The steak and shrimp were to die for! The veggies and salad were just okay. Wine list was nicely priced. My waitress dissappeared so I spoke to a bus boy who didn't understand english. A bit frustrating. But all-in-all... I'll be back.
Great Service, Average Food at Best – Me and my family decided to celebrate a birthday at Bravo. We loved the decor, service was wonderful, but the food was overprice and average at best. The server was great, and the manager was very friendly. I would pay those prices if the product was better, but our experience was average at best. Will try them again due to the great servcie, and just maybe we picked the wrong dishes or they had a off night.
Great food, horrible host – The staff that seats people are horrible. Even with a reservation you can wait 40 minutes and then they seat walkins before you. If you complain you get no apology and no offer to compensate you for your wait. The food is excellent but not worth the hassle.
Yummy Italian... Great Atmosphere – When I lived in Columbus, my family and I spent every birthday dinner at the Bravo on Hayden Run Rd. The staff is incredibly accomodating and always thoughtful.
Great location, sophisticated scene and fabulous Italian cuisine.
Now when I travel back to C-Bus for business I always take my clients to a Bravo or Brio restaurant location.
Bad experiences were taken care of by good manager – The restaurant was so uncomfortably cold that we ate dinner in our coats. Since our table was near the door we kept getting blasts of cold air even though we had asked our waitress if there was a warmer table we could have. We would have left at that point except that we were there to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday. If a restaurant is going to be that cold they should offer complimentary hot beverages or close until they can reheat the space. You should also be very careful of the white paper they cover the tables with. I got no less than six paper cuts before we figured out that we needed to go around the outside of the table folding down the edges. Anyway, is a white paper-covered table restaurant the same as a "white-tablecloth" restaurant? During a past visit I have also had a problem with their salmon dish. It was so salty that I sent it back to the kitchen twice and just picked at it when it came back for a third time since I didn?t want to embarrass my husband any further. On the other hand, the bread they serve you in spiced oil is excellent, the food is generally tasty, if a little over priced, and they brought my father-in-law a nice big ice cream sundae with candle on top for his birthday. After this last experience, the manager kindly called me at home, apologized, and promised to send us a gift certificate. I really appreciate it when a restaurant cares enough to follow up on the less than perfect visit.
A Columbus favorite, with tasty Italian food in a fun atmosphere. – The Scene
Bravo got its start right here in Columbus, but it aspires to go big-time. The chain has already spread all the way to New Orleans where the locals seem to love it as much as we do. Roman ruins decor with crumbling plaster, faux stone pillars and absolutely gigantic gilded mirrors is over-the-top and especially amusing, since both of the Columbus locations are found in otherwise antiseptic suburban locales.
The bread that starts your meal is practically an appetizer, with crispy flatbread and herbed focaccia. You'll find lots of portobello mushrooms, sundried tomatos and pine nuts on the menu. The wood-grilled steaks, lamb chops, fish, pizza, richly sauced pastas and a killer house lasagna have earned Bravo a following of die-hard fans. Bravo also draws a perky bar crowd that keeps the '70s "meet market" tradition alive.
Overrated – Having read the other reviews, I am actually a little surprised about how much most people rave about Bravo. This restaurant is just OK. It has some nice dishes, but there are also some that are way too salty (most of the seafood) and a few that are just plain bland. I have had both good and bad service here. The best thing about this restaurant is the bread they give you to munch on before the meal. I have no problem paying good money for good food, but this place is pricey for its quality. By the way...it is ALWAYS crowded and loud. There are MANY better Italian restaurants in the Columbus area. (usually small, and not a chain) Find them!

Terrible service – Had to get up and chase down the waiter every time we wanted something: salad, wine, desert, whatever. Nobody ever came by to ask how things were. The plates of food were literally thrown down on the table. The food was dry and cold; it looked like leftovers from the night before and had been sitting out, unrefrigerated, overnight. This was my worst experience in over 60 years of eating out.
