Editorial Review for Hills Market – by Jesse Will
The neighborhood
Way up north, this market is located near the foot of the Worthington Hills community, at the point where 315 becomes a scenic route. The market's specialty is prepared gourmet food for "home meal replacement:" you'll find full entrees and a good selection of deli sides. This grocery has a great selection of microbrews and more obscure German beers: you can mix and match your own six pack. On Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons, the extensive wine bar has free tastings, and every so often, the department hosts larger events, pairing international vintages with house-made hors d'oeuvres.
The service
Hills is one of the few independent grocery stores in the suburbs. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. It may cost a few bucks more to shop here, but if service and a gourmet selection is what you're after, it may be a worthwhile stop.

This place isn't just a grocery store. It's like an old-style European shopping experience with local fresh bread, the best meat and seafood departments I've seen in Columbus and prepared foods that knock the others off the map. The service is great and they will order something for you if they don't have it. Shopping at The Hills is more comfortable than being at home.
Pros: service, selection, local products
Cons: staples are expensive
