Dont Eat here....make the drive to the other one. The food is to die for, but this place has gone to ruins. One its in one of the worst areas in Reynoldsburg and they must have hired every employee from the neighborhoods of run down apartments the restuarant coninsides in. This used to be such a great place to go to, now all i get to to hear is ignoarant people that live near there yelling and screaming about baby mama drama. Also the staff reflects the are and restuarant perfectly. Snobby, nasty, and just show much they hate where they work. if i owned this business, i would clear house, considering i havent one nice thing to say about any employee ive encountered there. If you want shitty service and made to feel like your expected to basically wait on yourself, then go here. if not, drive the extra 15 min and go to the other one in Columbus. Dont GO HERE

Was good, not great......at first....... Our company has had it's get togethers at Genji for several years now. And granted, the first time was amusing and the chef was very personable. This time, the chef was ok, waitress was ok but there were several things that will make me think twice about going back there. It's extremely noisy, we had to yell to be heard by the person next to us. The soup and salad courses, while tasty, came so quickly there was no time to savor either. After the main course was served, I got the feeling of being rushed. The waitress was bringing boxes before we were even halfway through our dinner.

Then the biggest problem....approximately 70% of our group had stomach and or intestinal distress that night and the next day. So obviously there was some problem with something in the food, whether it was the sauce or the preservative on the lettuce or whatever. That is completely unacceptable. If only 1 person had a little distress, I wouldn't attribute it to the food, but since about 70% displayed varying degrees of nausea and other issues, I think that they need to be checked out by the health department to make sure that the refrigeration is sufficient and that shelf life is checked regularly.

Needless to say, until such issues are addressed, we won't be having any more corporate meetings at Genji!

Favorite place- now LEAST favorite place due to Manager. I have gone to Genji for years. The food is fabulous, no doubt. But, last I went, my order was taken wrong. I was there on my lunch and had little time. Instead of extra mushrooms, which I ordered, I got "extra vegetables" (onions and zuccini.) This was dumped on my plate. I told the waitress the order was wrong and she said they could prepare a whole other plate. I said no, just leave it. Don't have time to wait, will deal with the error. She comes with the check which is charging me for the mistaken order. I tell her I did not think this was fair, not my error, I would gladly pay for the rest. She had to get a manager. By this time, I have eaten at least half the meal. The manager comes over and I tell him these veg were dumped on my plate, not what ordered, etc. Didnt think I should pay for what I didnt order. He says, he will give me mushrooms that I ordered, but he will have to bring a plate over and I will have to pick all the vegetables out and put them on the plate first. Really? My lunch is over by this time, I am gonna sit and pick onions of my plate? Whatever, I paid but I have to say being in Management, the worst service EVER seen given by a manager. Clearly they have enough business and don't need mine anymore. PS I am sure you get people "in that location" who are trying to get a free meal- but I was a regular wince Livingston Ave, and I tip well. So goodbye Genji!

Don't bother making a reservation. We made a reservation for seven people, several days in advance of the night of our 8:15pm reservation. We arrived and checked in with Ginji's Host at 8:05pm. After waiting until 8:50pm, we inquired with the Host and were told "Sorry, we're behind with our 8:15 reservations, you're the next to be seated". We were seated at 9pm. 5 minutes before we were seated, I noticed a party of seven just came in the door. They were seated five miuntes after us. Poor, poor, poor, poor reservation making and keeping. Don't bother to go there EVEN IF you have a reservation unless you bring your own appetizers so you don't starve before you're seated and served.
