Finally found a place that would take my dog. My 3 year old German Shepherd is not a bad dog but nobody else would even give me a chance.

The place is not new or fancy, but it is clean and in my budget. I work at Discover in New Albany and it only takes me 15 minutes, including parking. It is under $600 with my dog, and that works for me.

I'm so glad I did not rely on the other ratings on citysearch. My experience has been fine, other than it is difficult to get up the big hill in the winter, even when it is cleaned, because it is too slick.

To all the people out there who are looking to rent an apt

Ravine Bluff is a no no when you are looking for and apt. after a hard day of work or running to the place you call home Ravine will be your nightmare.

I was searching for an apt, I went to them for an inqury of the apt they were all nice and friendly gave me the app to fill which I did and showed me there show apt, after my app went through the apt they offered me was filty and smelled a like a dump, I decided that I had a change of mind and I dont want to move..

my app fees which I already know is not refundable, and lease were not sign or even typed up. they desided to charge me a fee of 50.00 and did not say why.

I desputed that fees untill I could get a vivid reason why I had to pay...

And guess what did not get no further reason or explanation..2yrs later I got a bill for 50.00 from a collection agency, this is how good people credit get messed up and have a hard time in going ahead..so please read the and think before you act..always ask questions and make sure you have the right answers in writing before doing transactions of any kind to cover yoursefl for further frustrations...thanks

Ravine Bluff is a nightmare part 1

Ravine Bluff is the worst place I have ever lived, there is no question about that. When I moved in 6 months ago, I had damages in my apartment that I have notified them to fix on many occasions. Some of them have been corrected over time other still persist. The Staff is very incompetent and will never take blame for anything, as the are perfect and you will always be to blame, and you will be treated this way as well. Since I have lived here I have been late once that was my fault, and I told them two weeks in advance I was going to be late, but yet I have to pay late fees on four separate occasions. First when you sign your lease it will say that they take payments by automatic withdraw of your bank account, but it never says in the lease that that is the only form of payment the will take, which should be key in a legal binding document. The first complained I had with them is when I tried to pay my rent on the third which is the last day you have to pay your rent, so I called them up and they refused the payment because it was not associated with my bank account, so I said fine I will transfer the money into that account and then pay it. They then told me I would still get charged an extra 61 dollars because it was not automatically withdrawn. Now they told me they do this because they will get charged a fee for a payment that did not go through, witch is a lie and I proved it to them by having my financially institution on the phone with them and tell all of us together they never give out penalties for payments not going through because my account is through a pre-paid Visa Card and if the funds are not there they asses no penalties or fees. The next time it got better, I WENT IN WITH A CERTIFIED CHECK ON THE 29TH, EARLY TO PAY MY RENT, they would not take it because they only do automatic withdraws, which again on the lease it never once says this is the only form of payment they will take. so I put my money into my account on the first at 5:30 after work, THIS IS CRITICAL, so come the third the money was never take out of my account. So I called them up and they said since the third was on a Sunday it would not be taken out of my account till the forth. Guess what happened??? It was never taken out, so I called them, up told them the money was still not taken. This goes on for a couple days before I find out what really happened. It turns out that they notified my financial institudtion on the first at noon that they would take the money out on the fourth, but since I did not have my money in my account until I got out of work, my bank declined it right then. Now Ravine Bluff told me over and over again that they did not try to take it out or do anything on the first, after my bank told them they did, so the back and forth continued . In the end even though I can prove I tried to pay my rent on the 29th it did not matter, even though I can prove I had my money in my account on the first it did not matter, even though I did everything I was told I had to do it did not matter, they still charged me 61 extra dollars. You would think that since I can prove my case without question they would see I was in the right and not charge me, as in most businesses if their is even a question the customer gets the benefit of the doubt, but not here. Not at all, even if it was just a notification they sent to my bank, witch my bank claims it was not, I had my money in that account later that day, and more importantly I had it in my account on the day they said they would withdraw it. They did not care, they just wanted extra money. THERE IS MORE IN THE COMMENTS

STAY AWAY!!!

These buildings are in a great state of hidden dis-repair. The maintenance staff has no experience - and even if they did they have been ordered to do nothing more than absolutely necessary to appear to abide by the laws. The staff is rude, and dis-honest. The entire staff, especially the manager P.W., will lie about EVERYTHING!!!

There have even been break-ins to several apartments by the maintenance staff - including mine - under the false pretense of repairing items that were never repaired in the end.

The drywall is covered in mold - and the only treatment given is a fresh coat of paint to hide it.

When I moved in there were several issues on my move-in check list that were never addressed even though it was made clear that they were safety issues. These issues Include several outlets that did not function, two burners on the stove that have faulty wiring, the deadbolt on my back door not functional, screens missing from the upstairs windows, and huge gaps between the door and frame which not only let drafts and weather in, but plenty of insects.

During a problem with a busted bathroom pipe, maintenance took a knife out and tore several holes into my livingroom ceiling to drain the water, never repaired these holes, and now I am being charged for them.

When given my notice to move, the management waited until the 60 day notice period had expired then proceeded to tell me that my notice was invalid because it was not approved by the office within the 60 day notice period - even though it was in their possession for almost 70 days prior to their contacting me, with another 35 days before my given termination date. The turnover rate of tenants is HIGH - I would estimate at over 50%, with most tenants leaving long before their first year is up. And many apartments remain empty for months between tenants because of the low quality and safety issues of these apartments. My strong advice - turn away, run fast, and find someplace else to live.

Worse than Hell

I have lived at Ravine "hell" Bluff for about a year, Recently the apartment flooded due to a dum bass who cant hook up a water hose to his washer, and it flooded 4 apartments including mine, when I went to the manager to see what can be done she said they will fix it, the maint guy was a joke, and they didn't fix a damn thing, they put fans on my carpet (4 F'N DAYS LATER) now i'm moving out because the stinch is so back of mildew i cant even stand to live there, i am forced to live back with my parents until I can buy all new things becuase the mold is growing becuase they do no know how to treat it. They said its my fault my insurnace wont cover the damnage, no my insurance will i just dont have an extra $500 to throw away like that when it is either the apartment or the other persons fault, which they should pay, if you even hear the name ravine bluff, if you concider it make sure to cut a finger off for thinking that, if you hear of a friend wnating to live there tell him no, you will have to run him over with a car if he does, This place is bad, they lie, they cheat, they steal, they do not follow anything they say or do, they enter your apartment without your consent, They dont return your phone calls, I tried to get a Counseling service to help me out because they wont talk to me about anything, the damn manager hung up on them, I try to get something in writing and its like twisting a footbal out of your @ss. This place is bad bad bad, DO NOT EVER TRY TO RENT THERE go next door they are pretty good Greenhill.
