Fresh, tasty food; Funny personable owner; 17 years in business; Talk to the owner!. I was taken to this restaurant as a random surprise. Now I love Greek food, and when I first entered the place I was like "cool, this smells exactly like I'd expect it to smell: fresh french fries, gyro meat, pita bread..." and when I went over the menu, I saw a lot of the same names I'd seen in other restaurants I'd been to in the past, but the names don't do the food justice. For one thing, the french fries...clearly these are made fresh daily in-house, and they go through the final frying dip when you order (you never can tell if they've cut-and-blanched the fries hours or minutes before, but I don't think that really matters in the final taste really), so they come out awesome tasting and hot. The "Spicy Chicken" sandwich was amazing...but genuinely spicy, so don't think you're going to get a mild spicy like at Wendy's...I hear this guy makes his "hot sauce" in house, and he's a spicy guy! I also had a half-batch of the onion-rings which were really good and fresh, but kinda reminded me of onion-rings I'd had elsewhere. I like onion-rings, so I usually categorize them...these were just really good beer-battered onion-rings, you know? I had to leave the best for last, though...I'd never been to the restaurant before, so the owner brought out a plate of his in-house hummus, which was to DIE FOR. I mean, whew! I've had probably 5 or 6 different types of hummus in my life, and this was hands-down the best. The pita quarters that he brought out to accompany the hummus appeared to have been freshly grilled, so they were steaming hot and had that nice crispy outside...golden brown. The restaurant has awesome hand-painted murals...ask about them, but, seriously, ask the owner about his story: where he's from, etc...he's a funny guy! If you want to get him started, ask him about the U.N...and he's all about world peace! Ooh, also, while I don't generally like eggplant, I -loved- his baba ganoush! You won't be disappointed.
Hmmm.... Well, I'm prepared to give Nazareth the benefit of the doubt, and think that our experience there yesterday was a one-off. It was certainly NOTHING like the other reviews here. We thought it was average, at best. Average food (the hummous wasn't great at all, imo) for average prices; the service, however, sucked. Ok, our server was cute and smiley, but she got our order wrong, didn't clear the table, only refilled glasses when asked, and was generally mediocre. I'll try it again, but suspect it won't become a favorite.
Amazing Food - EVERYTIME. I have been eating at Nazareth for about 6 years. I love this restaurant. The service, food quality, and friendliness is always top quality. I love the grape leaves and the greek salad is killer. They also keep the pop and other drinks constantly filled in huge glasses. Great restaurant.
the BEST!. nazareth is such a fun place! i love bringing all of my friends there... its a great enviornment and the food is even better.... =)!!!!!!
CATERING. Not only do they have the best food with a great atmosphere, but they also CATER big and small parties and get-togethers.
cute waitress. nice place to chill with friends and family, good food, good deserts. the owner is really friendly.
Tailor made for all appetites. Finally a restaurant where you can order as little or as much as you want and as many different foods as you want and still not hit $10! This is really good middle eastern food with lots of variety, great service, and a relaxing ambience.
Great food, cheap prices!. Great Middle Eastern food. I recommend the falafel, hummous and lentil soup. Sandwiches are under $5 - what a bargain! Also, the owner is great - free entertainment!
