The best ribs in Columbus!. I am a recent transplant from Kansas so I know my way around good BBQ, and this place has nailed it! The slow smoked ribs are tender, but not soggy. The sauce is a perfect blend, that compliments the meat instead of covering it up. The side, especially the mac-n-cheese, are remarkable. The decor of this old barn cant be beat either. Its tall ceilings decorated with a western and farm theme...very nice. Add that with great service, and you have a winner. I highly recommend this fine restaurant.

The mixed reviews really surprises me!. I have eaten at 2 different Hoggy's a total of 3 times and I have ALWAYS been VERY satisfied. I live for food and love trying new places but it's hard for me to turn this place down when I'm in town. The grazer platter is my favorite, that other reviewer must be crazy!...guess I'll have to try it again to make sure it's still good--what a shame ; )

Hoggy's B-B-Q. You got to love the 3 little pigs! You get a variety of BBQ styles and a couple of great side dishes. I really like the sweet potatoes and the BBQ Mac n Cheese but usually end up getting the green beans and asparagus to watch my girlish figure. : (

Disappointing for the price $$. Disappointing and we wished we would have went some where else. At $77 for 5 people, the price was High for what we recieved.. mostly BBQ sandwiches at $11. a plate.. The BBQ is a spicy one not the sweet smokey kind we like.. My grazer platter was disappointing also small slab of ribs that were over cooked then reheated with their BBQ sauce poured over them.. The very small cups of sides with it (Small) ...

We were very disappointed, nothing special but the building and surroundings. We wished we would have went to Smokey Bones instead.. The food was average at best.. It seemed to us that it was processed and microwaved, not strait from the smoke house!!

We would not recommend it to any one.. We even told the waitress it was my wife's birthday and they did not do any thing special for her..

Very Disappointed!!!

No good, chain style food, nothing authentic.. went to this place based on the reviews here and the high citysearch review score. Boy was it a misttake. Hardly 20% full, but still took 10 minutes before someone ackknowledged us and sat us. Service was good after that. Food was boring, rac of ribs were cold, and the sauce was just average. What a disappointment. One of those chains acting as a mom and pop shop. Very disappointed and would never go again.

Ho-hum BBQ left me wishing I'd gone someplace else.... I'd heard a lot of good stuff about Hoggy's before I went there, and having done so several times, I have no idea what all the fuss is about. In a town with some very good BBQ options (City Barbecue, for example), Hoggy's is nothing to write home about. Their menu reminds me more of Applebees or Logan's Roadhouse than a real BBQ place, and their sauce isn't so special that it should be provided without other options. Their portions and choices of sides is cringeworthy from a fat/calorie standpoint, even relative to other barbecue joints.

Hoggy's is just so so at best.. Let's face it - the midwest isn't the best place to get barbecue, and Hoggy's is proof of that. Despite its being a popular choice for barbecue in Columbus, it doesn't even hold a candle to the best of the best in town, much less the best of the best period.

The meat is fatty and poorly smoked, the sauce is too sweet, and the sides are the same stuff you can get anywhere else.

If you're hungry, you can go there, but there are much better real barbecue places in town.

The best true BBQ in Columbus. Now a chain, this is the original central Ohio resturant. This old barn, decorated perfectly (theres even a real tractor hanging from the ceiling) has the perfect ambience. The staff is friendly, and the food is excellent. Everything is great on the menu...I recommend the pulled pork or brisket...both are slow smoked to perfection. Their Mac-N Cheeses has its own reputation, as do their smoked chicken wings. A true BBQ joint, and one of the best at that.

Our favorite white meat and so much more.. The Scene
Hoggy's is a local chain of barbecue joints. Each shop is different in size and style. Hoggy's Barn and Smokehouse locations are the biggest and best for a sit-down dinner. (The Roadside Grille is super-loud with bad pop-rock music.)

The Food
You can smell these places a mile away, and that's a good thing. For barbecue that's produced in mass quantities, Hoggy's is outstanding. They smoke everything, including the prime rib and baked potatoes. The ribs and pulled pork sandwiches are awesome, and the sides are all homemade, fresh and delicious. Forget the French fries and go for a bowl of macaroni and cheese. The barbeque shrimp is also very tasty. Vegetarians can chow down on lots of homestyle side dishes.
