Nicest people around!!!.
When I called this place, I was in a bind. I had a reservation with another bowling alley in town that lost my reservation for my son's birthday party. Not wanting to ruin his special day, I called
Capri. I spoke with the owner, who not only said he would make the party work, he would match the price of the other place. He was kind and friendly and I was so relieved.
The alley was clean, the people couldn't have been nicer, and they had enough shoes and bowling balls for 8 8-year-old boys to use. All of that aside, the pizza was REALLY good!
Many thanks to them for saving the day and for a really fun party for my son!…
Terrible service, misleading advertisements.
My husband and I visited for college night not too long ago, and our experience was terrible at best. First, their advertised specials were merely a suggestion... Case in point: We went to order two
beers advertised at 1.25 a piece and were charged 4 dollars. Odd, considering the person who ordered immediately before us was charged the advertised price for his draft. Oh well, we thought to ourselves, surely the other aspects of their special will make up for the drink travesty. Not so much. We tried to order pizza, and once again met with the same stubborn response to our inquiry regarding the advertised prices: it costs more than the banner right across from the alley (clearly visible, might I add), and no we do not care.
Lastly, the bar maid was just all around unfriendly and absolutely terrible. My husband and I are new to Ohio because he is in the military. Both of our driver's licenses are out of state, and often people question their validity. So, naturally, when asked about our ages at bars we tend to lean on our mil id's. The bar maid told us she needed to see Ohio licenses, to which we replied we had none and pointed out that the ones we presented her were issued by the federal government. She muttered something unintelligible, and then once again requested Ohio I'd. We got out our other NOT OHIO state licenses, and she promptly served us our beer.
Anyway, we are not hard to please. We are really easygoing, friendly people. But, this visit prompted me to join citysearch and subsequently review it because it was that bad. Please go somewhere else until these people get there act together.…
All it's got going for it is a fun atmosphere and the friendliest staff you'd ever hope to meet..
Perks
Sequoia and sister alleys, Capri, both hold the "Baker's Dozen" contest with a cash jackpot going to the entrant who can roll 13 straight strikes. The prize varies, but $50 is the
minimum payoff.
For group discounts or party packages, management advises calling ahead and they can "tailor make" a deal for you.
Bowler's Buffet
Alleys may not be known for their cuisine, but the burgers at the Capri are worthwhile chow. Meanwhile, the counter at the Sequoia offers breakfast and a variety of sandwiches including the "Big Daddy," which management swears is "the best cheeseburger in the world."
Diversions
For anyone giving their bowling arm a rest, Capri and Sequoia offer pool, pinball and video games. Plus, bowling being thirsty work, both alleys are equipped with lounges with full liquor licenses.…
