Best Egg Rolls in the World. Hands down the best egg roll you will ever have, no place comes close to what they do with this appetizer. The War Su Gai is fantastic as is their Fried rice combinations.
Great Won Ton Soup and Awesome Egg Rolls. I drive almost an hour now to eat their. So it's always a treat for me. The wonton soup is so amazing. I have tried wonton soup at other resturants and not one even comes close to Ding Ho. The Egg rolls are awesome and I love the house mustard, Goes great on them! Service is good and the new location is larger with better restrooms. Shrimp fried rice is fantastic and often enough for two to dine on. I have been eating their for 20 years and have never never had a bad meal! I must thank an old friend for taking me their for the first time 20 years ago. I have been hooked since! You can keep all the strip mall buffets. I would chose Ding Ho over any of them. Price is also fair!
Amazing FOOD.
The Pork Fried RIce is 'heavenly' I drive for over 45 minutes to get food here! My entire family loves the food, even my super picky nephew~ My daughter and neice sit down order 2 eggrolls each and split an order of pork fried rice-
You can't get a bad meal here! It's cooked to order, I like extra onions in mine and they never have any problems adding them.
It's a family owned business which I like even more, I'll support the small businesses over the big chains anyday!
They have lunch specials everyday, try it you will not be disappointed!!!
Disappointing first time....
From the reviews, we were expecting something better. We were seated so uncomfortably close to the couple next to us that we couldn't have a private conversation. Service was friendly, but sooooo slow! We ordered kung po chicken and chaw shu pork dish. Both were swimming in gravy and the gravy was the same for both dishes. The only difference looked to be that the meats were added last into the gravy and the peanuts into the chicken dish. The gravy was entirely too salty. The fried rice needs help.
Directly across from our table in the front of the restaurant were multiple large containers of used dirty dishes covered with garbage which all of the waitresses emptied their tables into. How unappetizing! On a good note, the wonton soup was rich and flavorful and the eggrolls were delicious. If this is all I want, I will come back here. But, if I want a dinner, I will go to Asian Buffet on West Broad.
DingHo Far West Restaurant. Consistently one of the best Chinese restaurants in Columbus since 1956. They recently moved from the location on West Broad where they'd been since 1964. The new location will have better restroom access (a big problem at the Broad St. location where the women's restroom required a trip downstairs) and a more updated feel, but it is next door to a Chinese buffet and shares a parking lot with a Kohls store that is slated to close. The food is always excellent. The egg rolls are a big favorite and the sweet and sour sauce is unlike any I've had anywhere in the world and it is a closely guarded Yee family secret. You can order dinners or family style (my recommendation since you'll want to try everything). The portions are generous and there's almost always enough to take home and enjoy for lunch the next day. Easy to get to from 270 (West on Broad and left on Phillipi and there you are). Remember the name or you could end up at their competitor's buffet next door where you'll get a lesson in the difference between quantity and quality. Enjoy!
great egg rolls!!!. They moved recently, They are no longer on West Broad Street They moved to Phillipi Road Beside the Kohls store on West Broad street. They have great food and I could eat there every day!!! their War Su gai is delicious, that's usually what I get. They serve Very fresh white bread with butter along with the meal.
Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Chinese restaurant serves authentic fare including wor su gai, wonton dishes and fried rice; a children's menu is available.
One of the best Chinese restaraunts in Columbus.. This restaraunt is not in the best of neihborhoods, but it is well worth coming to. I believe there Chinese Food is better than most. I would recommend going to this restaraunt.
