Easton Shoes Comments – Our return policy is extremely liberal compared to all indipendent shoe stores in the United States. It is clearly posted at the cash register and on the customer's receipt , to wit: "Unworn shoes which are purchased out of stock may be returned within 14 days for like credit. Any returns must have receipt and original box and be resaleable. No refunds on sale items and non-shoe items. Twenty dollar restocking charge on special orders which are returned or not picked up. Any shoe which shows toe or footprints is considered a worn shoe." We do not allow returns of worn shoes. We pride ourselves in properly fitting our customers as we have since 1954. We take time to find the proper shoes for the customer's needs. J Johns and Sara R have failed to identify themselves and we simply cannot find any records of these individuals to address their specific complaints. J Johns did not pay $300 for SAS dress shoes - the highest price SAS shoe in 2009 was $169. In regard to Sara R's statement, we know of no legitimate retailer who has a policy of returning worn shoes. We always work with customers who have a problem with the purchase of any shoes from our store and if they are not satisfied, in all cases but these two, we have been able to rectify the problem.
Tragic Customer Service – Easton Shoes’ seriously tragic return policy (14 days/brand new) should automatically rule them out as a viable retailer. For an upscale shoe store pushing shoes at the $300+ range, I’d expect superb customer service, and in the least, associates who know how to properly fit a pair of shoes.
They sold me a pair of SAS dress shoes that were a half size too big, and when my knees started to ache as a result, they refused to take them back as they were no longer “brand new.” Their solution was to give me a “free” pair of paper thin inserts that looked like packing material. Naturally these did nothing, so now I have $300 door stop. None of us will ever shop there again.
If you value your style and money, go elsewhere. If you’re looking for SAS shoes, you can get an all around better deal at the Jeffersonville Outlet Mall (even if you have to pay for gas).
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE – Stay away from this shoe store! They "fitted" my husband for $250 shoes. These turned out to be horrible and gave him knee pain. He wore the shoes for two days. Easton's response, no refunds, no exchanges, nada. He'd worn them out of the store and they are now his problem. With customer service like this you might as well buy the same shoes online. You have the same chances that they will fit properly and it's considerably cheaper. Plus, most shoe stores online have a better return policy. Go elsewhere for expensive shoes.
