My new favorite Restaurant!. My wife took me to Columbus Brewing Company for my birthday last night. I've been once before for lunch and really enjoyed it. For dinner I purchased the Top Sirloin Steak and it ended up being one of the best steaks I have ever had in my life. Cooked to perfection, an inch & 1/2 thick and it took all I had to finish it! I had two IPA drafts which were perfect! Ordered a dessert to go for our babysitter. To our surprise the best was yet to come: THE CHECK! I couldn't believe the bargain this place give you for the dinner experience you receive. I highly recommend. (BTW, this is only the 2nd time I have ever written a review for a restaurant. The other review was horribly negative for a location in Circleville, OH) The fact that I'm even taking the time to write this means you should give this place a shot! Enjoy!
Beautiful Patio Seating. They have got to improve the signage at this place. I could only find it because I'd been there before. My friend drove right past. We had a great waiter. The most amazing spinach artichoke dip EVER! I highly recommend. My meal was ok, had the something encrusted chicken, it was good. The waiter kept the refills coming.
Fries.
Don't miss the fries here. Unquestionably one of the best i have eaten so far. The beer is as good as the food.
This place may be difficult to find, keep driving on high street untill you see a billboard with directions to the place.
Good Beer + Good Food.
Located in the Brewery District, the brewpub is L-shaped, with the bar being on one side and the dining area on the other. There are a lot of red hues, flora and track lighting, giving the place a trendy and chic feel. There is a nice view of the brewing facilities via a large window in the back of the dining area.
CBC has a fair selection of beers. They typically have about 5 beers year-round with one rotating seasonal. It seems like they could expand on that. Their beers are all above average and they offer a sampler.
The service is decent here as well. Being an upscale establishment, the wait staff won't hesitate to make recommendations and know the beers pretty well. Same goes for the bar staff.
The food is of course excellent, as it is in any Mitchell restaurant. The sandwiches are very tasty.
This urban brewpub features spicy, creative dishes and awesome local beers and ales..
Everything's Better with Beer
A match made in heaven--chef Cameron Mitchell and brewmaster Ben Pridgeon--got together to create this avant garde Brewery District hangout. The tasty beers include pale, golden, nut brown and apricot ales, a wheat beer and a porter based on an 1859 recipe.
The Menu
The food ranges from upscale sandwiches, such as Columbus Pale Ale pulled pork, to high-quality entrees, such as grilled mahi mahi and filet mignon. The roasted chicken black bean chili is a flavorful meal in itself. The artichoke and feta pizza with sun-dried tomatoes is a good bet, and the fried calamari--tossed with a tangy Asian hot and sour glaze--is great beer food.
A Sweet Ending
CBC's desserts are consistently good; the creme brulee and upside-down banana cream pie are real treats. Eat the sinful smore dessert (peanut butter chocolate chip ice cream, chocolate, peanut graham cracker crust and roasted marshmallows) with a friend, because it's entirely too rich to finish on your own.
Typical Mitchell Restaurant - Good!. Really yummy food. Hard to find location. Beers were pretty good. Nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about either!! Usually not too busy, which is a plus!
