Best Cheap Food in Town. Have been going here for years. Always great food at an unbelievable price. Daily specials are always different. Great place to grab a drink before or after anything downtown. Everything made fresh right at the bar.

Great eats. This place uses fresh ingredients that makes all their food awesome. I have yet to be disappointed on numerous visits. When it warms up, its a great place to eat on the patio to break up the day.

5 star food, in a unique building. The reason why the 5 of use went was to support the local restaurant, rather than a chain. The food was prepared in plain sight, although it could not be anywhere else.. (You'll see) Service was great, and very polite to use gurls. The steak Salad was great nice mix of dark greens and will return. to try the other items in the near future.. You should go as soon as you can!!

Unique setting and unique food. Finally a place where the food has flavor! My favorite thing on the menu is the black & blue steak salad. Great value and always something special on the menu. The staff has a slight attitude, but is mostly friendly. It is nice that there is also parking right behind. If you are looking for someplace different to eat definitely try it out. Oh yeah, and you can watch them cook right in front of you! Cool atmosphere as well...

Wonderful place for lunch or dinner. I went to this place a lot when I was staying at the Red Roof Inn next door on Nationwide Blvd. It is a great atmosphere and the BBQ is wonderful. They have these hot n' spicy fries with mozzarella cheese on top that are to to die for! I am about a hour away from Columbus but I would drive up to Columbus just to have lunch or dinner here. I definitely recommend it. If you are looking for a non-chain establishment and great food, Flat Iron is a good choice then!

Great BBQ. I frequented this restaurant for lunch when I used to work downtown. The atmosphere is casual but charming and the waitstaff very accomodating-- let your server know if you are on a short lunch break for speedier service. Sit outside on the patio in the summer and try the barbeque! The pulled pork sandwich is my favorite-- the meat is a perfect spicy/sweet combo and goes well with the cool side of slaw.

Very impressed. I was very pleased with the meal that my boyfriend and I had here. I had the grilled portabella mushroom sandwich, and I swear it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Additionally, Flatiron is just a very comfortable, cheap but nice bar and grille. And the coffee is excellent!

An authentic flatiron building downtown with tasty Southern and Cajun food and a killer jukebox.. The Scene
For years, Columbus developers and politicians have been lambasted by preservationists for demolishing much of the city's native architecture. But our Flatiron is a venerable survivor. A favorite after-work watering hole, the original oak bar and colorful diner decor make for one of this town's special hideaways. The selection of Scotch is excellent, and the bartenders are skillful.

The Food
A few years ago, upscale restaurateur Kent Rigsby took the place over and gave it a spit shine. With Rigsby's name on the lease, you can be sure the menu offers something beyond standard pub grub. The pulled pork barbecue is done North Carolina-style, with vinegar and spices and zero ketchup. The tangy juices soak right through the crusty bun. Slaw on the side is finely shaved with fresh horseradish and cayenne for heat. A fried oyster po' boy sandwich is served with house remoulade.
