A Scotch eggs, beers and burgers hangout with terrific late-night food.. The Scene
High ceilings, pool tables in the back and United Kingdom flags, with lots of brass and wood to create that Cheers look. People talk in loud voices, and an upright piano is open for anyone who'd like to play, which can be a blessing or a curse.

The Food
A Scotch egg is a hard-boiled egg, packed in sausage, deep-fried, served with sour cream sauce. The bad news is that it's terrific. The good news is that only one comes in an order. The wonderful MAC burger is smoky, dark, heavy meat with bacon on top, combined with the sweet creaminess of coleslaw. At one in the morning, there's nothing finer in this town. You can get it with fries or beer-battered onion rings. For more health-conscious eaters, the veggie and cheese plate is a knockout. Fresh mushrooms, carrots, empire grapes (the round red ones with no seeds) and other veggies are served with a little dish of ranch and perfect squares of cheese.

The Cottage Pie!. My favorite meal in town. Great prices, great food, great service. Very casual.

A Coleslaw Burger??. Stopped here before a show at Little Brother's. I got the Mac's Burger on the recommendation of a friend, even though the prospect of eating a hamburger with coleslaw was not too appealing. I must say I was pleasantly surprised as the burger was very good.

The atmosphere is the typical English/Irish pub type that you see everywhere, old-fashioned pictures and beer ads mixed in with neon Molson eyesores. Speaking of beer, they have a "cellared" version served here that is worth trying. It is served more traditionally (ie: not ice cold).

the best in Columbus. Mac's Cafe is the best little restaurant/pub in Columbus. From the "make your own burger" to the grilled chicken sandwich, and oh my god, those steak fries! If you haven't been there, you should make plans to go!!!

LateNight Spot. Mac's is easily the most comfortable bar in Columbus. The service is fantastic and the beer is always cold. Any of the burgers offered at Mac's are worth making the time to show up. Above and beyond that, Mac's has the best Scottish food in town, and more importantly, the best fish and chips. Now I've made myself hungry. Gotta go.

Great Food. Mac's has a great atmosphere.....music and food. They have the tastiest burgers in town. And i must add the nachos are wonderful too!
