Horrid Service and Staff. My family and I went to Villa Nova on North High near Worthington today. We were seated and about 5 minutes later we gave the waitress our drink order. It took 15 minutes to get out drinks and little did I know this would be the bright spot in our visit. Our waitress was just the worse we could have imagined. We put our order in for 2 pizzas, a rigitoni and meatball, an Italian sausage with marinara, and 3 salads. We sat for 1 hour and 20 minutes without a word from anyone! I ask our waitress what the problem was and she kept walking and over her shoulder said we got a lot of pizza orders. People around us that came in 30 to 40 minutes later were all served. All very young kids and nobody cared if we were served or not. Finally our food came and I ask for the manager because our waitress seriously did not care about the problem. The manager came over again a young guy and said abruptly "what is it". I started to tell him the problem and he interrupted me and said "what do you need right now?" Unbelievable I thought! So I told him we still haven't gotten our entire order and it has been OVER 1 hour and 40 minutes. He got the chili pepper for my daughter acted totally put out and walked away. Did not apologize, did not even speak to us!!! We canceled the rest of our order. Our bill was almost $70.00 when we got it and the manager had taken some money off. This place is the worse since they expanded the parking lot and it appears business has picked up. Bottom line they could care less about customers the manager and staff are way too young to be in their respective positions. NOBODY cared about anything we had to say or if they served us or not. Bottom line, I won't be back and they will get the worse word of mouth advertisement that they can imagine. Awful service and management. Our family gets together for dinner infrequently and to have it ruined like this is not excusable. My visit was 1/15/2012 around 3:00pm.…
One of the best family-owned restaurants. Our family loves this restaurant. We've always had good, fast service no matter how busy or hectic it is. I've taken "authentic Italians" in there and they LOVE the entrees they've ordered, and I've never had any complaints about the food, the prices, the service, or the friendliness/promptness of the wait staff! The portions are huge and the food is fantastic. Not sure what was up with the review before, but wow, are they sure it was Villa Nova?? I think this place is a gem in a world filled with nothing but "unoriginal" chain restaurants. Try it you'll like it!!…
This place is laughable at best.
I came here with the family and it was a nightmare. They have the worst waiting area in the world. I can't understand how so many people were there. It must just be a nostalgic neighborhood place.
The host was sloppy and unprofessional. The decor is outdated and disgusting. I ordered 1 of the 5 specials and had to change it immediately when told the crab wasn't even real crab meat? Alll of the food we ordered was terrible. The food was very outdated, unoriginal, and almost a disgrace to the word Italian. I sent my entree back and didnt like what it was replaced with either. I filled up on bread just to not leave hungry. EVERYTHING we ordered was extremely bland, not fresh, and greasy. We will not eat here ever again.…
Fantastic Italian. This is an Italian place that you must experience! The meatballs are fantastic! The decor will amaze...it is filled with copper kettles and brass guages of all kinds and sizes. While my family are regulars here and we usually walk or ride bikes the expanded parking lot makes this a much easier location to get into and out of if you are travelling by car. (If you arrive on a Fri./Sat. night you might still be fighting for a spot) It's just that good!…
Impressive food. I drive by this place twice a day on my commute to work and decided to finally give it a try. I wouldn't dare try to eat at this place during a peek dining time like Friday or Saturday night because the parking lot appears out of control during those times so my roomate and I went late on a weekday. Good, affordable homemade italian cuisine. I enjoyed my homemade spaghetti with a homemade sausage. We also got a rather large beer (probably around 24oz-30oz) for only 4 bucks! We'll be back.…
