Best Kept Secret in the Ville

Every time I fly into Columbus, O-H-I-O from Chicago I MUST HAVE an India Oak hoagie / submarine sandwich!! They are simply put...DELICIOUS!!! They are priced extremely reasonably and a lot of bang for the buck. Their cold beer goes great to help wash it down and you can't beat the price of the drinks south of the Olentangy River. A must stop for anyone looking to enjoy a great hoagie, cold beer and sports on any of their many visible television sets placed strategically throughout the bar. I miss you India Oak Bar and Grill and hope to see you again soon!!

Pros: The great food, cold beer, management team and friendly bar personnel

Cons: No ATM on-site to allow for me to withdraw additional finds from my account for their YUMMY subs and sides!

Great subs,cold beer, good hangin out

The place has 4 or 5 nice booths, a pretty nice bar, darts, juke box, good prices, real good food; pasta salad is great, subs are the BEST in columbus, sometimes theres live music, its a pretty cool spot, lunch specials are good, bartenders are usaully pretty quick.

This is a bar with food. Burgers, hot dogs and subs. Great subs. Make that GREAT subs! And really nice people work there. Especially the blond!

Best Subs in Clintonville, a great neighborhood spot.

The India Oak Grill is a great little neighborhood bar tucked behind UDF at the corner of Indianola and Oakland Park in Clintonville. Neighborhood regulars sip beer inside or outside on the patio. Anyone in Clintonville knows about the Oak's subs which are big, delicious and at $5.25, relatively cheap. Daily lunch specials compliment a regular munu of burgers, coney dogs, homemade soup and Chili and of course, subs. Two dart boards in the back and plenty of seating at tables, booths or the bar. Try the SOS (beef gravy over toast) on Saturday morning, an Oak tradition for 20 years. OSU football Saturday's are also a big tradition with lots to eat, potluck style. The bar puts out free food and the customers bring the sides. Customers can watch the game on one of five TVs including a 50 inch HD big screen. There's nothing real fancy at the Oak where the regulars appreciate minimum change (including prices). Stop in the India Oak and enjoy a real Clintonville gem.
