Editorial Review for Holiday Lanes Bowling Center – by John Oklok
The Scene
The Holiday has 48 lanes, 24 on either side of the main counter. The TV broadcasts sports, while away from the action, video games make their electronic come-ons. There's a lounge and a restaurant with menu changes posted outside. (Fish and chips for $4.95 and $1.50 crispy fries are the most recent additions).
Bowling Technology
Aside from keeping score, lanes at the Holiday record how fast your ball traveled. That's swell if you're a budding Earl Anthony, a bit embarrassing if you have a glass wrist.
The Holiday offers bowling lessons (by appointment only). There's also the Bob Hart pro shop which promises to "match all reasonable prices." The alley supports youth bowlers and sells items like the "bowling pin water bottle" on their behalf.

The great thing about Holiday Lanes is its late-night deal on ther weekends. From 12 Midnight until 2:30 AM, unlimited bowling, is only $8, with shoe rental of $2. Definitely a good place for the college-age kid who's looking for something to do for cheap after a nice week of classes at OSU.
Pros: Inexpensive, late-night, good location
Cons: too far from OSU
