Blooms Direct has Closed its Doors. Blooms Direct has gone out of business. Their last day was March 31, 2012. The owner has referred his customers to Blumen Garten Florist in Upper Arlington. Contact Blumen Garten at 614.451.1299

Something Funny Going On Here.... Wanted to use Blooms Direct for our wedding flowers. We met with the wedding coordinator and liked her idea, but in order to receive a proposal with a price estimate, you have to pay a non-refundable $100. Weird. This is not the norm. We went ahead and paid it with the promise of a proposal in a week. Long story short, two months later we still did not have a proposal. They said the lady we met with was in the hospital, but only told me this after I went into the store to inquire about our proposal; no one was going to tell us to expect a long delay in receiving the proposal. Funny thing was, apparently they don't have another person in the place who can put together a proposal, but they had someone to take the check to the bank... The whole situation just seemed strange and like something was off. I would say that they were very good about giving us our non-refundable deposit back. We have since moved on to somewhere else, but if you want to use Blooms Direct, I would flat out say no to the $100 deposit and stay on top of communication with them.

Terrible Con. Not only were the flowers overpriced - they then started to deduct an automatic debit from my bank account claiming I had joined their Blooms-Direct club, which I had not.

Beware if you purchase anything from these folks.

Great Bouquet. I wanted a bouqet of flowers with Alstrameria (i have no clue how to spell it)...mixed with other random flowers. I just told them to have fun with it and do whatever they wanted and gave them a price range.

My wife got the flowers at work at the time i asked to have them delivered and she loved them. she sent me a picture. they looked great.

She got them last Friday. Today is Monday, and they still look good.

Thanks for the positive shopping experience!!

Wilted Mother's Day bouquet!. Saturday, the day before Mother's Day, I returned home to find a large bouquet of flowers on the porch. The card read "Happy Mother's Day" from my children who live on the West coast. I was thrilled, but surprised to see 15% of the flowers were wilting and limp. Flowers were obviously well past their peak. I immediately emailed a photo thanking my children. My daughter was astonished the bouquet looked so bad, certainly a poor cousin of what she'd ordered.

I would not have accepted the delivery had I been home, being perfectly happy for my children's sentiment. I just feel bad they spent so much for a poor product!

Great service!. I ordered two dozen roses at the last minute, and the owner made a special trip to deliver them on time. I always have excellent service, unusual arrangements, and flowers I can't find anywhere else. The roses at Blooms Direct are just gorgeous!

Personalized Service. I would like to thank the staff at Blooms Direct for the personalized service that they gave my family especially my mom. Our father passed away on January 12th of this year and my mom being 94 could not get out to go to the florist. We called Blooms and explained the situation and they had someone come to my moms house and sit with her and discuss the flowers that she wanted. This was a very trying time for her but Blooms was very understanding and made her feel very comfortable. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and just what mom wanted. Again thanks for going that extra step in service and quality.

Fantastic Floral Shop!. I totally enjoy shopping at Blooms Direct. When I am in town, I love to stop at the shop to pick-up fresh flowers for a house warming gift. Oh, the smell of the flowers and the colors. ...and the designers have always been helpful. I live out of town and most of my family lives in Columbus. So, ordering flowers from Blooms has always been easy because of their 1-800# and the arrangements have been incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend this florist!!!

Best secret in town. I have used Blooms many times over the years. I recently hosted a wedding shower and ordered flowers to decorate my house for the event. I took in the invitation with the color scheme I wanted. The designer immediately started suggesting possible ideas. I let her decide and I was extremely excited when I saw the finished product which included two table centerpieces and a mantle spray. Everything was gorgeous and I could not have imagined anything more beautiful.

I have ordered elaborate arrangements like above, but also shopped for small teacher gifts and such. I can always find something at whatever price I'm looking for. Somettimes I pick out my own flowers and other times I let the professionals handle my order, but I appreciate having the opportunity to do either.

Best selection of flowers, most creative staff in town BY FAR!. I have shopped at Blooms Direct for many years, and use them anytime I need to send flowers. I even used them for my daughters wedding last fall. The sales people there are very friendly and helpful, and the designers, I feel are the most creative in this city! I have to disagree with the two negative reviews on this site, you must not purchase or send flowers very often. The most unique thing about Blooms is that if I want a few flowers for my house, I simply walk through the coolers and pick something out, if I need help, someone is happy to assist me, otherwise, it's like walking through a refrigerated garden. When planning my daughters wedding, they did ask for a deposit, and with reason, they put alot of time and effort into putting a proposal together, and it was taken off the botto line of the wedding. As far as pricing, Blooms is a little expensive, but you get what you pay for, and after all, isn't everything expensive nowadays?

In a nut shell, I highly recomend Blooms direct for any of your floral needs!
