Not going back!. You go there to give friends from out of town an experence with the grill and the memorabilia. Our party of 8 waited over and hour to be seated, only to be split into booths. We waited over 45 minutes for our food because the kitchen was backed up over a rehearsal party showing up over 2 hours late. So everybody had to suffer. How you get a double cheese burger with one patty well done and the other rare. The two and a half hour experence was not worth it. Nobody was happy. You can't look at all the memorabilia because you have to intrude on people eating. Not going back.
Go there if you want to look at memorabilia, not eat good food.. I am giving the Buckeye Hall of Fame Cafe a 2-star rating for the following reasons: 1. The food was mediocre. Although the food had good flavor, it was luke warm. 2. The wait was too long. We were seated as soon as we arrived because the place was really empty. For that reason, I can't understand why we were seated for over 30 minutes before we were served our food. 3. The service was okay. I would have appreciated our server checking on us more often.
Very disappointing.. Having recently moved here, I was looking forward to going to this sports bar. I was expecting more atmosphere and better service and better food than what I received.
Get a new mystery troupe!. We were horrifed at the crass and tasteless humor of the actors. We will not ever go back. The actress we compalined to cursed at us. Not professional AT ALL!
Very unique. Food and service are average, but the prices are sky high. Not a good value at all, but, it is indeed one of the best sports bars around. Each bar booth has its own tv, and it has a huge pool room. The place is stuffed with OSU memorbilia, and it also sports a lager game room in the back, with its own food stand and bar. Even further in the back, you can catch live boxing on most weekends. It also sports private party/meeting rooms that are very nicely decorated. A nice place to visit maybe once a year, but thats about it. Great for kids.
If you're a Buckeye--or even just a sports--fan, you've found paradise..
In Short
This is a full-service family stop: Inside, there's a walk-of-fame museum, a state-of-the-art arcade, a fabulous sports bar and dozens of high-quality billiards tables. If ever a place bled scarlet and gray, this is it. The color scheme is pure OSU and the exterior is designed to look like the horseshoe. The fare at The Buckeye Hall of Fame and Cafe is routinely good: hearty steaks and other American dishes.
Messy Sundae. The chicken chopsticks were pretty tastey and you get a bunch of food. Be sure to have the messy sundae for dessert. Its a Sundae glass completely submerged in hot fudge and packed with vanilla icecream, more fudge, whipped cream, nuts and of course, a cherry on top! Avoid the curry chicken.
Gimmicky but Cool. Well you have to have a restaurant like this in Columbus. Detroit has Hockeytown, USA! Anyway there is some good memorabilia to look at. The food is better than average, if expensive. The game room is okay but not on par with bigger places like Gameworks or Dave & Buster's. Overall it is worth visiting if you are a Buckeye fan. Be sure to try the house beer called Scarlet Ale.
