Columbus >Wing's Restaurant
Best New Find. After driving past this establishment for thirty-five years, I finally stopped in with my husband who had only been there once years ago. He said it was really nice, I wasn't so sure. To my delight I found the food very good, the service excellent, the atmosphere different in a good way and the price great on our pocket book.
Same excellent food since 1970. I started coming here as a child and this food is the benchmark we compare all Chinese food to. Being 49 now I can honestly say I know my way around the menu. "Mr. Wing" is the icon and Kenny keeps tabs on everything. Those who whine about this place would also complain if they won the lottery. Go ahead, stay away, there are PLENTY of patrons who love this place. All the food will please you and the bread and butter is old school awesome. I'm glad my parents brought me here as a kid and now I bring my own. I even have some of their barstools in my kitchen !
Our "Chinese" Cheers!.
Wing's Restaurant has been a part of our life for over 12 years. For the first few years we only did take out. Once we started spending time at the bar and with the Wing's family it became evident that we had found a true hangout. The scotch selection is superb! The food is fantastic - old style sesame chicken with Dan Dan noodles, beef satay, minced chicken, the chicken and spinach wontons in a coconut cream sauce, and any seafood dish are all favorites. We have tried just about everything on the menu and never been disappointed.
There is a reason Kenny’s corned beef was selected best in the city a few years ago for St. Patrick’s Day!
We thank you for all the years of great food and fun. We look forward to many, many more!
Bland food, poor service.
We started out by telling the waitress we only had an hour and a half for dinner. It then took 45 minutes just to get anyone to take our drink orders. We literally had to go get someone to take our food orders and to get the bill. We were not happy.
Even though the mongolian beef was marked as spicy I specified to make it extra spicy. I could taste no spiciness at all in what was served. The hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour.
SUPERB SERVICE, ONE OF THE BEST SCOTCH BARS IN COLUMBUS, EXCELLENT FOOD, FRIENDLY SERVICE, AND A VERY DIVERSE CROUD.
ONE OF COLUMBUS'S BEST KEPT SECRETS
Not so great. While the service was excellent for lunch (ordered our food and it arrived within 5 minutes), the food itself was nothing to write home about. The bar looked tacky and the dining area was extremely boring. They did however had one parking spot open. I also found it expensive for lunch.
Wing's. Eat in the bar, the ambiance is better there. The wine, Scotch and Whiskey selections are quite impressive and the food is awesome.
Casual Chinese cuisine with '50s-style ambience..
Wings is an east side mainstay for both lovers of Chinese food and people who enjoy an old-fashioned lounge. Upn entering, you'll find that the restaurant splits into two halves. A classic, woody bar welcomes you on the right, replete with a surprising selection of single malt scotches. A row of comfortable booths sits parallel to the bar, and is overlooked by a fish-eye window. The dining room sits on the left and has less ambience, but is smoke-free.
For Bexley residents, this is the takeout spot of choice. All of the classic Chinese dishes are tastefully made, with some modern additions thrown in for variety.
