Terrible Customer Service. I had a very odd and uncomfortable experience here. I had purchased an online coupon (Living Social $10 for $20 of product). When I went in and was shopping, the young man downstairs was very helpful and kind. I told him about my coupon, he went and spoke to the owner, Sue. She told me that I needed a print out of the coupon. A bit of an inconvenience, since all of the information could have been written down if necessary. And especially since this store prides themselves on their customer service (according to their website).

Fine. I left, came back with the printed coupon later that day. The same young guy was really great, said he was glad I came back. When I went to check out, Sue began to help and completely demoralized this poor guy in front of me. She yelled at him for doing things wrong and was very critical, as he tried to bag some things and organize things before she was done completely ringing up the order. It was completely unprofessional and embarrassing for the employee and for the store. If he was doing something wrong, she should have spoke to him in private afterwards. It progressed as she continued to instruct his every action, such as counting back the change. He was pretty flustered at this point and who could blame him. It's completely uncalled for to undermine an employee in front of a customer.

Overall, the product was ok and the front of house help was very nice. Management left MUCH to be desired and I can safely say I won't be going back or recommending this store because of this experience (even though I live in the neighborhood and was excited to find a party supply store nearby and to support a local business). Sorry Sue. Please treat your employees like human beings.
