good food at a good price. I went there for lunch today with a group from work. I did the Dagwood challange and got a free t shirt. That sundwich is an absolute monster 5 to 6 inches tall and every bit as big round and comes with a mountain of french fries. All for only 8.95 i've spent more then that befroe and left hungry. It tasted great high quality meats and the fries were the best i've had at a restraunt. Their prices are reasonable and good sized portions. We all ordered differnt things and everyone was more then happy with thier order. You can tell it's an older place but from what i could see everything looked clean. The service was decent I've defently had worst service and also had better. It was pretty busy when we got there. Our order came pretty quickly. I don't go to Columbus much, except for work as I live in rural fairfield county. But if i get the chance i would deffently go back again. Don't think I will get the dagwood again its just a bit much. I just wanted to try it so i could say that I did it.…
Not Fancy, but Pretty Darn Good!.
I went to Ohio Deli this afternoon with my son, and a friend. The two of them decided to have at the Dagwood Challenge! I opted for the Buckeye Burger w/fries. My burger was pretty big, and ended
up being more than I could handle. The burger was just a bit above average. I would not make the trip there again for the burger alone. But the fries were wonderful! Best fries I have had in a while. I actually abandoned the burger halfway through to focus on the fries. As for the Dagwood. Well, to put it quite simply..it is huge. About the size of your head...not including the fries. According to the fellas trying the challenge, the sandwich was good, but as with all things you can get too much of a good thing. But isn't that the point. My son managed to finish the sandwich, and got his t-shirt and pic on the wall. My friend did not.
All in all, it was a nice place to eat. It was kind of cool to eat in a place featured on TV. Is it fancy? No. It is a diner style place, and definitely has that laid back feel to it. It is an older place, so it shows some wear, but I did not see a single fly or cobweb in the place. Our table was clean, and our waitress was decent. Food was reasonably priced especially considering portion sizes. One thing worth noting is that the other patrons in the place were very friendly. Just regular nice folks.…
Filthy. I think this place should be shut down until they learn what clean means. If the dinning area is dirty, which it is it makes me wonder what the kitchen or the coolers look like ! If germs don't bother you then this place is for you ! Hillbilly heaven ! Really dirty and gross is the bottom line !…
Take the challange. The challenge is fun doesn’t look hard but after half of the plate is down you start to grind and slow to a near halt... Overall the food wasn’t bad but it was not what I would consider great. For deli I would give it 7 out of 10. It was your average sandwich place. Did anyone else see the champ who pounded that monster of a meal away in like 5 min!!!!!!!!!! That guy is a freak of nature!!!! Try the challenge and that time will boggle your mind too. (I don’t think my vacuum cleaner could suck it up that fast)…
Dirty deli. The sandwiches were just, okay. The tables were generally not bussed, flys and cobwebs everywhere.Ususally need to eat outdoors to have that many flys land on you while you eat. Filling meal, but worth the trip.…
