Better than Starbucks!. I have a tendancy to favor the underdog, but in this case it is justified. CupO'Joe puts Starbucks to shame. After hearing that Starbucks has systematically positioned it's stores with-in a block of locally owned coffee shops, I was disguested. CupO'Joe has nothing to worry about. The customer service is genuine and noteworthy. The coffee tasted fresh and clean, unlike Starbucks' over roasted burnt flavor. Hang in there CupO'Joe!
Expensive Iced Coffee..and warm. Joe's added iced coffee with the onset of warm weather. $.90 higher than hot coffee. OK, I resigned myself to the price hike--I live in the area and Joe's WAS my favorite coffee stop. Tonight, iced coffee, didn't complain about the price....until, I realized my iced was warm. When I asked DAVE about this, his solution was to add ice. Now weak, iced coffee. No offer of a credit to use when the sophisticated machine, that justifies the increase, is producing cold coffee. Remember the anti-Starbuck's bumper sticker? (not allowed to print it). Well, what rhymes with Joe's? "Joe's B----"!
A clean, quirky, hip coffeehouse atmosphere..
In Short
Located next door to the Book Loft, this java joint wisely capitalizes on the popular literature and latte coupling. The space has a blend of oddly angular and cushy furnishings and a mellow lighting scheme. Multiple roasts are brewed daily and ranked according to their strength. Plenty of sweets are available, like healthy muffins and sinful cheesecake, in addition to daily soups and a few sandwiches.
Three Cups Coffeehouse. Has anybody been in this quirky coffeehouse in Reynoldsburg? They have a stage for music that consists of an amp on a rug, an upright piano painted red. Even the keys.
Coffee or gathering?. You think about good coffee? Well, you can say so. but average is the best I can give them. Service GOOD! Place for gathering YES! Again, not for a good coffee! So all you think that pricy coffee are good? Forget it baby!
catchy coffee, sullen service. A Zanesvillite who hits the big C only once every month (if I'm lucky), I found the Cup o' Joe in German Village great on coffee, but the youthful servers were not happy, nor happy to wait on anyone, and did not respond to a smile. This tells me that a--the pay is baaaaaad b--they hire college kids who, by definition, are often sullen, or c---i just got there on a bad day. If I went to ger. village all the time, I wouldn't care--but since it's kind of an "event" thing--it matters.
So Much Better Than Starbucks. Perhaps the first of Columbus's significant indie coffee places, and still, always, one of the best. Great joe, good eats, nice mugs. Can't beat it. Can't even resent the franchising.
