The best bar/greek food in German Village.
The place has a local, neighborhood feel. It's been a fixture in German Village for years.
Very good greek salads, greek pizza is very rich (careful, don't overdo it!).
Decent bar, definitely a local favorite.
I guess this place has it's good days and bad days. After a recommendation went there last week. I guess the place is good or bad depending on the day. After a short wait got a table and ordered. The bad part is when the food came...there was a hair that was not mine. A hair happends but I was a little put off by the attitude, they almost acted like it was my fault or something. After some to-do they took the meal off the check.
I would agree with JessieGV-avoid Easy Street!.
The food was terrible, the owner sat at table with a bunch of people and was drinking like there was no tomorrow. I went in with a friend who came in from Houston and he recommended East Street because when he lived in Columbus, he would eat there. He could not believe how bad the food was and the service was beyond poor. As my friend said "how sad that a once fun place has turned into a loser of a place. " The place was not busy (this was a friday) and trying to get a server to wait on us was like next to nothing. Again, the owner did nothing but drink with what appeared to be his friends or employees.
We don't recommend you eat at Easy Street.
Unfortunately, it has gone down hill. The Easy Street Cafe used to be a great place to eat. The gyros and quality of the food was just wonderful. We used to be regular customers. Unfortunately it appears that things have changed. The last few times that we were in there the owner was just wasted, drunk, stupid....and the food quality was the horrid. I have no tolerance for a plate of greasy garbage, and that is exactly what the food was. The regulars have seen this as well because this spring the place has been dead. Is this place a restaurant or a hang out for drunks? Someone needs to ask the owner... There are certainly better places now to grab a bite to eat in the Village and not be insulted by disgusting food prepared by some drunk cook.
Authentic and wonderful food. Owner/staff will make you feel like a regular!. I just got back from a wonderful trip to Greece. Although I had many lunches and dinners -only one meal was as good as the and authentic Greek food I eat at Easy. Really! Easy Street's Greek Salads, nightly specials and gyros are the best. We are lucky to be so close because we are regulars. We have eaten there pretty much weekly since they opened. With our record - I'd say we are pretty good judges of the consistency of the food and service. Friendly owner and staff that will make you feel like a regular the first time.
great greek and american food. I have been coming to Easy Street with my dad for years and have never been disappointed. Gyros are great, but my personal favorite is their Patty Melt. Weekend breakfast is a must-- omlettes served with a side of fresh pita are delicious (though coffee can be slow.) The owner always makes a point to greet diners, a real neighborhood place.
User review by jalepeno. The greek salad with grilled pita is the reason to go. It's a comfortable neighborhood restaurant. Service is generally friendly, but sometimes slow.
Cook needed!.
I've been coming here for about a year and the food and service is getting really bad. I live in German Village and I've noticed the change in cooks. Two weeks ago I ordered the Patty Melt and it didn't taste right so I asked the waitress to redo my order. I asked for the patty to be well done. I didn't know it would take 35 minutes! The waitress never came back to our table to see if there was anythign else we needed.
Then last saturday I stopped in for breafast. Big mistake-the bacon wasn't crispy and the hash browns were luke warm. The grease on the plate was horrible.
I don't recommend eating here-I know I'm not.
Wonderful!. I like right down the street from East Street, and like the other person said, every now and then I'll get a craving for their wonderful greek gyros! Never been disappointed, always wonderful prompt service, even for take out!
Best gyros. When I lived in German Village, I would eat here at least once a week because I would always get the craving for their Greek Gyros. I have been a lot of other places but no one makes them like Easy Street. I also love the fact that you can have a couple of beers, dinner and walk out of there with a cheap bill. I stop by whenever I am in town.
