Go for the Pizza, not the Bier.
Stopped here after a softball game, and so did a lot of other people. I would definitely recommend trying to come when the parking is easier to find. They have two small lots and street parking, but even that is not sufficient on a weekend night. I had been here once or twice in the last couple years and remembered it being pretty good. This place is known for its pizza and I must say the pizza is excellent. They have an outdoor patio area, a covered patio-type area (w/picnic bench seating) and a bar area with more traditional booth/table seating. Nice German-themed atmosphere in the bar area, with old pictures and what-not.
As for the beer, it is kind of a let-down considering the whole "bier garten" name. You can find a few different Great Lakes, Sierra Nevada Pale etc. in bottles, and Guinness or Warsteiner on draught.

fun fun fun!. Plank familiy has owned this place forever! Great place to go for after parties and celebrations. I have known of choir parties, nursing-school state-board parties, olympic parties, etc. Planks makes you feel forever young.
