An update to my comments below.....Been
almost 7 weeks since Capital City was first out to my house. My unit is still not fixed and they want to continue to charge me for parts. Now telling me the heating element is broken and needs replaced. this after 6 visits to the house and a different diagnosis each time. Unless you like being angry, frustrated, talked down to, called a liar ect...I would steer as far away from these people as possible. It's so bad I am currently considering contacting channel 6 news (Six on Your Side). I am also going to have a talk with the Attorney General of Ohio's Office.
I am 51 years old I have never had worse customer service than with this company EVER. It has been almost 5 weeks since we had them out to fix our dishwasher and it still isn't fixed. I get error codes and the unit stops working, has water in the bottom of the tub and does not finish the dry cycle. AND this was not even an issue before they came out....we just needed a new motor. Everyone in this organization from the top down is incredibly rude, talk down to the customer and even called my wife a liar. The last call yesterday the tech came out...poured a cup of cooking oil in the bottom of the dishwasher and said that it was fixed. We ran it and the same error codes came up. Spoke with the manager this morning and he said it was a "foaming" problem. I asked him if foam would cause 2 inches of water left in the unit and he said yes... The story is far worse than I have told here, but due to space and time I don't have the energy to waste on these people. To anyone that is considering using these people. You are wasting your money, will be frustrated beyond belief and will get the run around. Their are other good repair shops out there....take your business elsewhere. Capital City=Major RIP OFF>
Extremely rude customer service including the service tech, service manager and the owner Jody. Would not deal with them even if they came out for free.
Take a PASS..they can't fix it.... I have a Frigidaire frig and the ice maker stopped working. I called CCAS and they came out to review the problem. The unit was about 2-3 weeks from the end of the original warranty. He didn't have the parts so he had to come back out, which he did and had an associate with him to try and figure it out. It worked initially and then failed again. Again they came out. He said it was the same issue and he was going to look up and see if there was a recall or service bulletin about this issue. There was not. This past weekend if failed again. I called and now they want to charge me even though this is the same issue I've been having and they didn't charge me for the 2nd time they had to come out and fix it. Their response "We were being nice and not charging you". Uh...so be nice again and fix it RIGHT THE FIRST time and I won't have to keep calling you to come out and fix it. Again. She put me on hold and said basically, $80...So I called Fridaire and unfortunately re-upped the Extended Service Plan which was $123 for 1 year but I will be covered for a year (parts and labor) and won't have to deal with this incompetent repairmen. Stand by your work.
Incompetent and Rude.
Just the facts - After charging to come out to look at our Frigidaire cooktop, they wanted over $700 for the repair. What we subsequently found out was that the cooktop had been recalled and they did not tell us. A call to Capital stated that it was the customer's responsibility to know these things and they refused to refund our trip charge.
Speaking with Frigidaire, they referred us to a different company to actually repair the cooktop under the recall order. Do not use this company!
Great!. I had a bird in that got in the vent of the dryer. Then somehow got in the dryer. I called a big chain and got the "geek squad" who took over 30min to try and make an appt. for this problem. Two phone calls later told that they don't handle birds that get in vent's that then get in the washer (lol). So called Capital after finding on the net (just moved in area). Started with a wonderful women who understood what happened and realized the urgency in which I needed help. She had someone here within 20 or so min. and he got the job done. And he was polite and handled the situation wonderfully! Next time I need help..will call into the sky my bird call and Capital will fly to my rescue!
worst service EVER!. definition of capital city appliance. terrible, rude, unprofessional, pathetic, clueless, lousy, these guys are a joke. anyone who is posting positive comments must be on drugs. it has to be family members of employees posting this stuff. i wouldnt use this company to change a lite bulb. they have a cant see it from my house attitude. PLEASE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SERVICE DONT USE THIS COMPANY..........!!!
Capital City Appliance...A Repair Company You Can Rely On!.
I want to extend my appreciation to Capital City Appliance for a job well done. Mike was the repairman that came to our house. He was informative and professional. I also spoke with Terri in the office on several occasions and found her to be cheerful, positive and extremely helpful. My phone calls were always returned promptly and they stayed with me until the issue was resolved.
If you are looking for a reliable company, call Capital City.
Liars All Of Them.
Scott H came to our house to repair the ice dispenser. In the process broke the outer case and blamed it on me. The office manager called me the next day and even blamed me for breaking the part that Scott broke. The part that was broken is fitted behind the handle and would impossible to break while attached to the fridge. It only broke when Scott H removed it for the door. I paid $80 just for them to come out and look at the problem and they left me with more repairs and more money to spend. They refuse to believe that Scott H could make a mistake and laid the blame on me.
If you need work done at your home run as fast and far away from Capital City Appliance. They will cause you more problems and cost you more money than you could possible think. You also want to check the Better Business Bureau for my complaint and what other complaints that have had filled against them.
Very very impressed. My husband and I purchased an over the range microwave. We got it home, installed it, plugged in and then realized it didn't heat. I called LG who set up the appointment with CCA to come out to fix it. After the appointment was set up, I started reading reviews on CCA. I was so upset that LG had scheduled CCA based on what I read on here. I told people how bad the reviews were and I started stressing that the unit wouldn't be fixed right the first time, the tech would be horrible, etc. Well, not only did the tech call me to let me know he was on his way but he showed up 5 minutes early. He was the nicest person, my mother-in-law was impressed with him, and he was able to fix our microwave. He didn't leave a mess, he cleaned up after himself, he didn't leave any of his tools behind and he thanked my husband for taking down the microwave so it was easier for him to fix. The tech heated up a glass of water three different times just to make sure the microwave was fixed. I received an invoice today and the repair was 100% covered under the warranty. Maybe CCA does better with microwaves than washers? Who knows but the tech's name is Steve H and I will recommend him and ask for him if needed in the future!!
Horrible Experience.
I am completely disgusted with this company. They have came to my residence 5 times in the past two months to fix a washer that we had purchased brand new, it hasnt worked since we purchased it.
They fail to report back to Maytag which will make it impossible for them to replace our washer because as far as Maytag knows their is no record of our washer having any problems.
Today, Ron. from CCA was supposed to come to my residence to install a part, he failed to come. When i made an attempt to call to get his location i recieved no answer.
If you can at all avoid this company, it almost makes having insurance useless!
