Since 1955, this Atlanta-based chain has welcomed an all-hours crowd of shift workers, suits, regulars and late-night partiers with comfy booths and an extensive menu of Southern-accented home-style grub. Waffles (pecan or regular) are the restaurant's most popular dish. Other breakfast favorites include porterhouse T-bone steak and eggs, country ham, and signature hash browns cooked seven ways, from smothered with onions to topped with chili or cheese. Another bargain is the bowl of chili, which comes topped with onions, ham and cheese.

Waffles, you say?. My husband and I loved the Wafflehouse. We moved to Washington state in 1998 and really miss the great service and wonderful food that we found there. We never found the wait to get in a problem and the inside was always spotless and clean. If you have a complaint about the Wafflehouse then I say you have not been there. The employees go out of their way to make everyone feel at home and they pride themselves on being the best. I would recommend this to anyone who ever was any place in Ohio.

Crowded, EXTREMELY. I am told that the food is good, but have never found it worth waiting to get inside to be served. Time and again, the wife and family attempted to get in to be served.

Friends, who perhaps are more patient than I am have stated the food was average or above, but the service was extremely slow.

There are enough places in and around Columbus I do not believe it is worth waiting for one place that can not get its act together.

Tasty but different.. Waffle house is good, but they are greasy and have the appearance (in my opinion) of being dirty. The food is good and cheap, but I took my wife there once and she vowed to never go back. It's an experience, and nothing against Truck Drivers, they are fine people, but this a like eating at a truck stop. Oh, they are quick too! Happy Eats!

The best food you will find anywhere!. my husband and I travel to the Columbus area quite often and no visit is complete without a trip to Waffle House. The enviroment is fun and the food is great!
