Every week, almost. There are a few things I really like about Indian Oven.

1. The food is outstanding. I have been to two other "Indian" resturaunts in Columbus and found IO to do a fantastic job delivering great food.

2. The staff is fantastic. If you go into a resturaunt unhappy, you will probably leave that way too. Leave your troubles at the door and have a good time, and have a TAJ or two.

3. Murad ROCKS.

IO ROCKS!

Best Indian Food & Restaurant In Town. I have been eating here since the mid 90's when it was at it's previous location. I have had every item on the menu multiple times. I have eaten at every other decent Indian restaurant in town. Some are close but none compare in consistency and quality or atmosphere.

I've recommended it anyone I know looking for Indian food and will continue to do so as long as they are in business.

The owner goes out of his way to make personal connections with everyone who comes in. There are some other nasty post on Citysearch about him and the restaurant that are obviously from angry or disgruntled people. It's sad to see others try to knock someone down when I know how untrue the statements are. These are cowards that should be looking to resolve their issues in person vs. cowering behind a computer and trying to ruin someone's reputation and business with their keyboard.

Can't say enough good things about the restaurant.

There exist much better options among Indian Restaurants. Have tried this restaurant a few time over the years because other recommended it. My only suggestions being - there are better Indian restaurants in town - eg Taj Palace, Bay Leaf, Udipi among others.

Feel sorry for the ones who love this place. They need more exposure or maybe they are being paid to write this review.

Excellent Indian food. This place is great, takeout is excellent. I highly recommend the platters, both the vegetarian and non. The Navrattan Khorma is divine.

Still bad. Because of the location, we make the mistake of giving this restaurant "one more try" at least once every 6 months. The meat is always dry. The chicken looks and tastes like it was purchased in pre-cooked packaging. Considering the high prices that they charge, you would think that everything would be made fresh. Half the time, we don't see the ingredients that are listed on the menu in the actual dish that is served. We won't be fooled again by the convenient location and will make the extra trek to eat at a good Indian restaurant.

Bad excuse for indian food. My boyfriend and I eat a lot of indian food, at LEAST once a week. This place stinks. Let's start with the good things. The service was good. The hostess and servers seemed pretty nice. The restaurant seemed classy, but is that really needed with an indian restaurant? For the drinkers, there is also a pro-looking bar there.

Now onto the bad.

The Papadum was stale.

The food came out WAY too fast, which led us to believe our food wasn't actually cooked to order.

I ordered something that supposed had like lentil beans, onions, tomatoes, etc. in it. It sort of tasted like they were in there, but when i actually looked, there were just lumps of... stuff in it.

Food wasn't spicy enough. My boyfriend ordered extra spicy and i ordered spicy... we had to get extra chili powder.

The rice became mushy when mixed with the curry.

The naan felt like it came from the microwave

They charged us for extra rice. $2.50 extra per order! So it was 5 dollars extra for the both of us. I don't think we've been charged for rice at any other restaurants before.

The food wasoverpriced for the quality.

Don't bother with this restaurant. You'd have a very easy time finder a cheaper and more authentic restaurant than this place.

Over Rated. Indian Oven Review:

Bad

The food is not upto to par. Its not really a Authentic Indian Cuisine. The owner as well as the cooks are from Bangladesh. One thing which least impressed me was the rates. They are just in the business to make money. I have been to Indian restaurants all over the US as well as in London. The food is Average! But at the same time the Prices are just overrated.

Good

The service is good. The decor is modern looking. Established in the hear of downtown - safe place.

Looks better then most average Indian Restaurants.

Bottom line is Indian Oven is over priced. Food is not authentic Indian. Rest is upto the folks who would like to try something different and pay an exorbent rate for food which isnt the best in town

Knockoff Indian food ! this guy's a cheap who recycles half eaten chutney & leftovers AVOID IT COMPLETETLY. The owner's disgusting ! drunk & smelly only outdone by the nasty food he serves.

Murad is his name, ripoff is what he specializes in !

I saw him empty half eaten chutney from another table into the common chutney container in the kitchen , HEALTH CODE VIOLATION!

all dishes have the same curry base throw in the quick meat and voila food's ready, bottom rung food & taste.

The servers are courteous and friendly, nice decor and atmoshphre.

BUFFET definately overpriced for LEFTOVERS FROM LAST NIGHT ! totally worthless.

But way overpriced for NASTY JUNK FOOD!

Avoid at all costs, Columbus has many nice tasting Indian Restaurants AVOID THIS ONE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH AND PALLETE.

Buffet is a Bust. Food is one of those things I won't think twice over spending large amounts of money on it, so long as it's good. Unfortunately Indian Oven's buffet + Mango Juice wasn't worth the $14 bill and tip. For me, a buffet consists of a wide selection of the restaurant's style and ethnic taste and should be a focus for the owner. Instead, the buffet appears to be an after-thought, tucked away in the corner with only 3 curry dishes and some chicken & rice, all of a similar bland palate leaving those desiring spice and flavor wanting more.

The owner should have had a solid concept for the food and recipes before he spent so much time picking out the lighting and glass.

All of it topped with only mediocre service means I will be looking elsewhere to fulfill my Indian cravings.
