The Scene
A family-style environment with small touches of Mexican decor. Chips, salsa and water arrive at your table immediately, and your primary server soon follows. Entrees usually take less than 10 minutes and appetizers appear even faster.
The Food
You won't find any nouveau-fusion cuisine, but that's not why you're here--this is a refried beans kind of place. And the refried beans are tasty, as are the tacos, enchiladas, burritos, chalupas, tamales and fajitas. Sauces are savory, and spices are generally medium-strength. Required eating: The chile poblanos, which are roasted and stuffed with mashed potatoes and cheese, then covered in tasty red sauce. They are a big improvement over the usual deep-fried variety. Don't bother with any of the salads. They're shredded iceberg with a tomato wedge, which doubles as a garnish on many dishes.

I am originally from New Mexico so I know good Mexican food and this place is absolutely horrible. Many of my local Columbus friends insist on going there (bless thier hearts they don't know better) and every time I unwilling tag along I REGRET it. The sad thing is they have Mexican's working in the kitchen and they should know better than to serve this stuff. The food has a funny taste and is not prepared in true Mexican style (it is more like Tex-Mex). Sorry El Vaquero I have to give you a big thumbs down.

The food here is pretty lame. Everything seems like it came out of the freezer and it has this weird aftertaste. One time I got a salad in a tortilla bowl and it tasted just like the weird cleaner smell that the restaurant always reeks of. They must have been sitting out forever because it was also not crispy at all.
