awesome desserts. Mozart’s really impressed me at the Dine Originals Event this past Thursday. There was a lot of great food there from other good restaurants, like Barcelona. But Mozart’s pastries all looked fantastic. My favorite was the coconut macaroon, it was so fresh and delicious. I wish I could have tried everything! I’ve never been at their restaurant, but I am definitely planning to stop by now. And if all their staff is as friendly as the ones I met at the event, than you can’t go wrong!

Great European Experience. Wow! I was introduced to Mozart's a few month ago by a friend. I loved the ambiance right away. Last weekend I went there with my fiance, who is visiting from Germany, and he was so excited about the place, because he said it really reminded him of restaurants back home. They also got some new desserts since I was last there, mostly a variety of roulades. I tried the one with strawberry and champagne and it was really delicious. My fiancee had a mint mousse and also enjoyed it. The only negative thing I can say is that it was a bit crowded - but I guess we were there during the busiest part of the day. Mark also loved the piano player, he turned out to be really friendly, and he sure knows his classics! Overall - Bravo Mozart's!

Don't Settle for a Regular Café: Go to Mozart's. Rum balls! (Best dessert)

Mark, the piano player, is great. The servers are great. The desserts more than great.

Wonderful place for afternoon tea!. My daughter took me to Mozart's for tea when I was visiting her. I've been many, many places for tea and this beats them all. The food was wonderful, the service attentive, and the ambiance perfect---we even had a pianist to listen to while we sipped. Mozart's knows how to make a lovely tea time for its patrons. You'll also want to buy some goodies to take home with you!

best schnitzel in town!. I'm always looking for new restaurants to try and was extremely happy to find Mozarts! I came in for dinner last week and tried the veal weiner schnitzel. It was absolutely fantastic! The meat was really tender and perfectly cooked. It's something I'll be ordering again. The meal, the service, and the live piano music made for an absolutely enjoyable evening.

Best pastries in town. Mozart's is one of my favorite cafes in Clintonville. It has a great atmosphere, with all of the ambiance of a European cafe. A pianist is there almost every day during lunch and dinner, which adds a unique romantic touch. They have a nice patio for dining in the warmer months.

I agree with the previous reviewer that this is a great place for breakfast, though I also enjoy dinner here as well. The wine list is small but affordably priced and goes well with entrees like beef stroganoff, wiener schnitzel, and my favorite, spinach and bleu cheese stuffed portabellas. Make sure you save room for dessert, because that is by far the best part! If you manage to make it past to cookie case, you still have to check out the cakes, petit fours, truffles- almost too many things to choose from.

Overall, this is a great neighborhood cafe. Whether you need a birthday cake or just want to enjoy a cup of coffee, Mozart's is the place to go.

Breakfast Is Where It's At!. My wife and I visited Mozart's at least 20 to 30 times over the several years we both went to Ohio State. By the 10th time or so we had figured out what was worth coming for and what to stay away from as many other reviewers have noted the stale pastries. I'd like to make some suggestions about what you should get if you go to Mozart's to avoid the not so good pastries.

1) Go during breakfast!

2) Get coffee or tea and enjoy fixing it yourself at their coffee and tea bar.

3) Get an omelet. If you don't like omelets, maybe Mozart's isn't the place for you as the rest of their breakfast food is only okay.

4) If you decide to get something besides an omelet, at least make sure you get toast with it. Their homemade jelly is delicious!

5) Here's the important part!

.... Get a petit four (I like the apricot one) or the peach marzipan ball pastry. The only other good pastries are the fruit danishes (but you need to ask them to warm them up first).

Okay - if you've gotten this far, eat and repeat! Mozart's is a great place, with a nice atmosphere and good food if you know what to order.

i dont reccomend it... poor service.. average food quality... I have gotten dessert here before in the past and they have been ok. not up to par with what they charge and often not as fresh as they should be.Though I might be biased as my Oma (grandma) was a pastry chef so I am used to a certain quality. This V-Day day I decided to make a dinner reservation for my Fiance and myself.they were having a special and I also made a specific request for a vegetarian menu as my fiance is a vegetarian and they assured me that it would be no problem. I was looking forward to a charming night., however when i arrived i was informed that not only was the table i had reserved not ready, it would be 20-30 min. The man at the front of house just shrugged his shoulders as though it was not his problem and gave me the excuse that people were just not leaving as quickly. This was unacceptable. My fiance suggested we grab coffee at star bucks down the road to waste time so we left and when we came back, the host acted surprised as if we had just left before and had no intention of coming back, what did he expect for us to stand there for 30 min. They stuck us on the cafe side, not in the dining area which i was not happy about. When they brought us our salad, there was bacon on my Fiances salad, which I had already spoken with them about a vegetarian option. To top it off, we felt rushed as they were clearing our plates before we were both done to bring out the next course.. as they were closing in an hour, not my fault I had made the reservation for 830 though we did not get seated till 9:05. The food was alright, nothing to rave about and for the price I would have expected better. The atmosphere is one of its saving graces, it is charming, intimate and the pianist was a plus. With all said and done, I am disappointed with Mozart's I think they have the potential, but way the staff handled everything left a sour taste in my mouth that their average food could not overcome. I do not think I will be dining here in the future, maybe only coffee.
