The Scene
Visiting Victoria's is like hanging out at a college friend's house. The coffeeshop is comfortable, filled with overstuffed furniture, wobbly tables, brightly painted chairs, shelves of board games and abstract paintings. The walls are covered with eye-catching black-and-white murals. On weekend nights, local musicians crowd onto the small stage that fills the coffee shop's front window.
The Draw
The ramshackle patio on the "Back Forty" boasts picnic tables, several grills and a mural of van Gogh's "Starry Night." Express yourself twice a week: It's open mic night for poetry, acoustic music and plugged-in noise on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The mayhem starts at 7pm and ends at 11pm, but people start signing up for stage time around 6pm. The menu is sparse, but good: quiche, mac 'n cheese, subs, bagels and doughnuts.

Harrison House B&B is located a block from Vic's and we send many guests for a quick bite. They always come back with good reviews of the food, friends and ambiance. We had one guest, from New Zealand, who spent all of his free time at Vic's and I even overheard him instructing staff on how to make coffee the New Zealand-way. We like open mike night and just hanging with friends in one of the friendliest stops in Columbus. A must-see stop on your tour of Victorian Village.
