More Korean than Japanese. I had an enjoyable experience but there was nothing really Japanese about my visit. The menu did offer sushi but the rest of the Korean patrons didn't really order any.

More Korean than Japanese, this is the place on campus for sushi and tasty noodle dishes.. The Food
This is one of the least expensive places in town to have sushi. You'll find all your favorites, from tuna nigiri to California rolls. One of the more unusual rolls contains avocado and barbequed eel, topped with a big red dot of Korean chile sauce. Start your meal with edamame (steamed soy beans) and a small bowl of miso soup. But sushi is just part of the story--most of the dishes on the menu are Korean, or Korean-style Chinese dishes. All are served with several small side dishes of different tastes and textures, including spicy kimchee and pickled cucumber.

The Scene
The interior is fairly plain, but a vast improvement over the old décor. A sushi bar sits in the back, with a tv overhead. This is a non-smoking restaurant.

Not bad but not Japanese. I would considered this place more Korean than Japanese. They do have a sushi bar and the sushi there is alright but I usually go there for the Korean dishes. One warning, the service is slow.

Looking for better. First thing, I am not comparing this resturant to any particular sushi bar in Columbus. But I am comparing it to the many sushi bars around Ohio. (One particually in Dayton, Kai cafe)

Anyway, the portions are small, very very thin slices. And the Rolls are very squished.

The service is not very good, being that they sometimes "forget" to even come to the table.

The service is also not helpful to those who might acquire assitance in ordering Sushi.

One of the nice things, of course, is that the food and service is authentic.

One last thing that comes to question is that most of the people and food there are Korean, not Japanese, which would make one wonder why they call it "Japanese Oriental Restaurant" and not a Korean Restaurant.
